They call say nothing then hang-up

858-751-7485 is a new number for an old scam. CID displayed HOME SECURITY, which I've seen many times and I don't answer.

Recorded Message: (Paraphrased) DON'T hang up - this is not a sales call. There have been a rise in burglaries in your area and you have been referred by a neighbor or friend. If you would like a free home security system press 1. If you would like to be removed from our list, press 2.

Lying scammers!!!

We weren't home at the time of the call.  Caller ID said Home Security.  My spouse used to work in this field putting himself through college.  We have a one of kind custom job.  Just another scam to part you from your $$.  Report it and sue the buzzards.

I get this call weekly.  Sometimes it starts up with a pitch to seniors and other times there is no one there.  I hang up as soon as the recording comes on which the person before me probably did, since the recording hasn't gotten back to the beginning so it could start up again with the same pitch about the government and security.

Just received a call from this number. My caller ID said it was Home Security. There was no one there & I hung up

They called yesterday. I picked up the phone and no one was there

Get this call 2 to 3 times a week.  Wish someone would do something about this problem.

Answering machine picked up and they just hung up without leaving a message.   CID says "San Diego CA".  Looks and acts like the same scamsters that have been bothering us for years.  I'm considering not having a telephone number at all anymore since there is no protection at all for us against criminals.

The recorded call had a blurb about home security.  These jerks are frequent callers.  I did not answer the call.  They left a recorded message.  I will make my usual complaint to the "Do Not Call" people.  Maybe if enough of us do this often enough we can run these despicable so-and-sos out of business.

We the Consumers want Felony charges, and Prison sentences brought against the ALL perpetrators.

Home Security Shill Transcript uses the terms “free“ and “no cost“:

“Hello, The FBI reports there was a home break-in every 15 seconds. Your local police recommends you protect your homes. If you will allow us to place a small sign in your yard, we will install a new security system at absolutely no cost to you whatsoever!
There is no cost for the system or the installation, whatsoever! To hear more, press one now. To be placed on our do not call list, press 9.”

These companies perform "free" installations of security systems conditioned upon signing an extended monitoring contract with the alarm system company. i didn't pick up the call because i don't answer any call from a number i do not know.  next time they call, i'm blowing my whistle in their ears - provided they are still on the line.

I just got a call from them. I chose to speak to a representative. I got a girl who went by the name of Amanda. As soon as I told her we were on the do not call list, she hung up on me. I tried to call back and surprise no one answered.

1200 number blocking capacity..up to 10 area codes can be blocked...also you can block criminals with no phone numbers on their caller ID.
blockers with 50 or 60 number capacity..you will run out of numbers in a couple of months.
FCC is in bed with these criminals:
1-do not answer the calls that you do not recognize.
2-search on awesome websites such as this one,for the phone number and once you see the numbers here,
3-stop wasting your time with useless reports and complaints and buy a good blocker.

I am on the DNC list and I too get a daily call to have a security system "free" and "no cost" to me if I allow them to display a small sign in my yard.  The recording tells me there's been several home break ins in my area and the FBI and police want me to have an alarm system. ( Of course the FBI is involved and inestigates every house that is broken into.) It's a scare tactic used on the elderly.  I don't have Caller ID so I'm not able to know where the call is being made from.
