    Call 267-798-7013
this is the supervisor who sets up the installation for the security systems
that they are trying to push down our throats by calling every day.
When I answered the strange number one day they offered a free home security system.
This women called me to set up the installion and said she is the supervisor for peerless network the installation company for the free GE home security system.
Call and tell her you want the system installed and she will think she has a sale
Try to get more info to post so they will stop this robo calling

They must use local installers for their scam to work so try and post the call back number that they used to set the appointment

You can do that.. It is called Entrapment and if you agree to make an appointment that is ON YOU. If you agree for someone to come to your home no matter the situation that is ON YOU not them. You invited them to come. If that would happen to me. Bet your ass i'd have a law suit against you for Damages.

You gotta be joking. You're going to win "damages" because I send a salesman home without a signed agreement? It's disgraceful that anyone has to run a sting operation just to unmask the players connected to VMS, "Tom", and their pals. Those plucky types did not start the fight, but clearly they're pissed enough to finish it. I'd applaud anyone willing to risk some stupid frivolous countersuit to see an end to the fraud.

If the alarm system installer is knowingly taking leads from illegal sales phone calls, don't go crying for sympathy when a call victim names him and his crew and his boss as co-defendants in a TCPA suit. If the installer is somehow ignorant, let that house call be a "teaching moment" after all polite methods have failed to stop the obnoxious, fearmongering, elderly-baiting, fake "FBI warning" phone calls. Whatever backlash comes next "is ON YOU" if you continue doing business with lawbreakers.

Please don't pretend to know anything about the law.  Those of you who think you know everything really annoy those of us who do!

But the violation of the DNC, among other violations, took place prior to the invitation.   The act of engaging in a conspiracy with telemarketing call centers that as a matter of routine violate the DNC and telemarketing laws and regulations, in order to obtain sales leads you pay for, makes you as culpable as they under the law.   The invitation as a method of identifying offenders whose offenses precede the invitation is in no way entrapment.   However, in your case I hope you continue in your delusion  until you find out differently in a court of law.

    Areoboy:

Q.:   Why is it necessary to "feign interest" in a home security system to learn who is making the calls, and on whose behalf [i.e., the installers and monitoring companies] the calls are being placed?

A.:   Because your callers intentionally violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule by spoofing Caller ID, using fake names for the caller and the installer, phony names, etc. to avoid revealing their identity until they've "qualified" the call recipient and "reeled in" another sale.

Violating the TSR eviscerates any scintilla of hope you could ever prevail on Entrapment.

But "Go ahead and make our day," for it'll be easier to learn your identity when you can't hide behind "Security Solutions" in court.

Got my calls constantly from Jacksonville. I use Voipo for my local and international calling. Very low cost and high quality service. One of the great things about Voipo is that you can blacklist undesirable numbers from calling you if these jerks are bypassing the DNC list. As soon as I hear, "Hello, this is Tom" I hang up, enter my Voipo Online access, and place the number in my blacklist. Works like a charm. Here's the info. from the last time that "Tom" called ...

    Number: 9042364824
    JACKSONVL FL
    Call Reference ID: 218629723_82517236@192.168.37.84

571-441-0174 showing "Herndon VA" on CID robocalled today selling the "free" $1500 GE Home Security system monitored by Monitronics for $44.99/month. It took over 15 minutes but eventually the caller gave up the guise of being GE Home Security and 'fessed up to being a call centre calling on GE's and Monitronics' behalf. Too bad I didn't "qualify" for the freebie so I could set up a fact-finding appointment and learn who is really behind the calls at the local level, i.e., the local "authorized" dealer.

    >>>> The ONLY way to give it BACK at these marketers is to ….. be very nice to them, tell them you are very interested, but ask to hold while you get your husband or wife to talk. Then put down the phone and make THEM wait. They will have to decide how long to wait before hanging up.
… I get satisfaction doing this to them !

To "Stop Tom", like you I've kept some numbers and dates they've called, but I haven't gone as far trying to find the "Who" beyond GE Home Security.  I have filed a complaint with our state attorney general, to no avail, and have written letters to the FCC and both of my representatives in Washington, DC.  Again a fruitless effort.  The DNC List is a joke, but I did learn that we, as individuals can sue these companies up to $1500 PER violation.  Having received 16 calls between March 4th and March 17th (the dates I started keeping records) that almost makes it worthwhile.  But I got to thinking why isn't there a Class Action Suit?  If you read all these complaint just on this site, it seems to me that a Class Action Suit should place a dent in GE Security's money belt.  We need an attorney who is fed up like we are and willing to take on GE Security, which is owned by UTC Fire & Security - I did find out that much.

    For those that can block numbers here are some of the numbers on my CID: (425) 390-8920; (505) 570-1420; (678) 804-4024 (I had 5 calls from it); (269) 804-3366; (626) 544-5526; (307) 316-7479; (845) 877-8124; (703) 962-7525; (406) 577-1215; (317) 759-7561; (613) 230-2890.

As you can see they like to frequently switch numbers.

I do a lot of my business out of my home with a number of out of state phone calls with clients.  When one of these calls comes in I can't always tell that it's GE Home Security until I hear "The FBI reports. . ."
I am fed up and ready to take on these idiots or join any law suit to stop them.

They get the numbers from the Do Not Call List. The use a spoofer to call you. They always use a dead number. And they are as swipes.

"They get the numbers from the Do Not Call List. The use a spoofer to call you."

You know, I'm about at limit with these ridiculous posts.

They get your number from the DNC?

Well, read this post regarding the DNC as a "calling list" https://800notes.com/forum/ta-705926565a74ba5 ... 046890887311604 and see if what you said makes any sense.

And what the heck is a "spoofer" ?

(hint: there is no such thing)

The callers are simply configuring the outbound CNUM field with invalid information. No magic "spoofers" involved. Easy as can be if you know anything about telephony, which you clearly do not.

Now stop making statements of "fact" which are so very, very wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about, and are simply adding to the ignorance factor, which is high enough as it is.

Remember, it is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

If there are criminal web sites where they can get Social Security numbers and credit card numbers – and there are – why would anyone need to access the Do Not Call list to get phone numbers? The idea simply doesn't make sense.

On the other hand, I rather like the phrase "they are as swipes". ;-)
