this number just called me at work and left a message regarding a legal matter against me and left me a case number to call.  this is another new number.  the numbers change every week.  calls had stopped for a while and now i just received the first call.  it s a payday loan scam.  dont call back, ignore and if you can block the number.  once you respond they will continue to call you.

these people are criminals working from information you probably put on the internet to apply for a loan.  they are scammers!!!!!

Be sure to get that name right, kids, there are plenty of "Nationwides" in debt collection. The nearest match is:
Nationwide Collection Corporation / NCC / NCC Business Services in Jacksonville, FL

I have been getting phone calls- but they are on my boyfriends phone & not mine? My name is not associate with his bill. They leave a message with a case # stating my personal information has been left with their company and I need to call immediately. I have been scammed from a fake collections agency before... $400 worth. Not doing that again.

The following companies all use different names but they are all the same:  ACS, United Holdings, Nationwide, BOS, BCO, Century Group, SSM Group,  They are all linked together.

The company using this number this time calls themself ACS Group. They are a scam payday loan collection company. They use many, many different numbers as I have been getting calls from them from various numbers for months and months. They will tell you that a serious matter has been linked to your social security number. And then a "process server" will call to officially notify you that they have a warrant for your arrest. That is a scam tactic to get you to pay money. They will tell you that you took out a loan with "ABC Company - Payday Loan" for $350. Then they will tell you that with fees, interest, etc, your owe $1600 - do you want to set up payment arrangements. Unfortunately, once you are on their list, it's going to be very hard to get rid of them as I have not been able to. When they tell you they will serve you, tell them "I am here all day & will wait for you" and then hang up. When they tell you that you are getting arrested for a loan default, tell them, fine, I'll see you in court. You cannot EVER been arrested for defaulting on a loan; it will always be a civil manor. Plug their # into your caller id as ACS and never answer it. However, a few weeks later, it will start again. If you get a 800, 866# you don't recognize, don't answer it. If they don't leave a voice mail then check this site or 800notes.com and enter the # in to see if it is them. This has been the worse experience ever as I fell for it the first time for nearly $1400. If you owe them money, then get them to send you a statement with a remittance address. Oh, they will give you convincing line after line. The next time they will say they are Nationwide. Do not be stupid like I was and pay them money. If you truly owe a loan, even a pay day loan, and they want to sue you, they will have to come to your county/city court. If they give you a line that you will have to come to their state, that's wrong too. If you want to know if there are any pending lawsuits against you, then find out your state judicial website. All civil cases are public information. In Maryland its chttp://casesearch.courts.state.md.us. If you can't find it, call the courthouse and ask them for the web address. If you don't see your name, then you don't have anything. Be careful. Also, if for some reason you decide to pay it, then get a pre-paid VISA. You can use one from Walmart, I have one from ACE (Americas Cash Express). Do not give out your checking information. If they get to your human resource manager, tell them it's a scam company and tell them not to call anymore. And paste these 2 links to her/him.

So remember, please I ask you, NO ONE can get a garnish without a signed by Judge, court order. No where in the United States can they do that. You will get a summons with a court date on it and be allowed to present your case. Please don't cave in to the threats. Just don't answer and check here for the #.

They called my Mother. Her number has been unlisted for over 25 years & they got it. Keep in mind, if you've ever given your boyfriend's # out as a reference, an emergency contact, something along those lines, his # is out there. I changed my (home) phone carrier, changed the phone #, put a block on unknown callers, blocked anonymous, they still find you. My sister too. Same thing, unlisted name, number, they found her too. You know how you get these notes, whether at the bank, post office, credit card companies, how they tell you "Oh we don't sell personal information", that's a lie. Numbers are bought and sold constantly. Once one company puts out a number linked to you, then all can find it. And if someone tells you that what I am saying isn't true, then take this to heart. I was scammed twice and paid out $1400. Once I realized how bad I got scammed, I spent (and still spend) weeks upon weeks investigation how they get numbers. They even got my neighbors #. He has an unlisted phone but they called him since he lives next door. They can go on your States Property Search & find out names of people who live near you. Then they go on the hunt for the #. So just remember, nothing is private anymore.

I have no idea who these people are, but they keep calling my cell phone, and I have never given my cell phone # to anyone other than family, friends, and work.  Their number has now been blocked on my phone.

Got a call from these scum today.  Told him if I owed the debt he needed to put it in writing and send to my mail.  He said it had to be done TODAY .. could set up a monthly payment or send from pre-paid debit card.  I again told him to send me a letter and he said that my account had just "taken a turn for the worst" and he would be in contact.

Company identified as ACS and employee ID'd only as Mr. Murphy.

Sending his information to the police dept, state attorney general and posting on site such as 800notes.com.

Called me with a file number, saying that my account has been escalated to a "final review" and that if I don't get a hold of them immediately they will submit a recommendation to their client "without my statement being included".

Scam artists.  They call my parents house despite me telling them not to, they call my cell phone and refuse to give me a verification of the debt that they are legally obligated to do.  They did not say this is an attempt to collect a debt which is also illegal.

These people are scam artists and I hope the law catches up with them.  I am tired of receiving several calls a day from these people.

Yes, they have been calling me over and over again for months stating the same things. They are bill collectors trying to collect on old debts like pay day loans, etc. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!! I got fooled by these kind of people 3 years ago and lost over $700. Never again will I fall for this. IGNORE and report them. Good luck.
