Call was from Allied Interstate LLC, a collections agency for Syncrony Bank, formerly known as GE Moneybank.  Persistant pains in the ass who keep calling even when your making what payments you can.

Then you have a simple solution.  Send them a certified, return receipt cease and desist calling letter.  Everything else you need to know follows.  Read it and learn what to do.

I have to wonder why an allegedly “legitimate” business would need so many different numbers to call people from.

All in all this seems extremely suspect, having so many business names, and so many violations of the FDCPA.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

These people have been calling me several times a day now for weeks.  Every time I see an 800/877/etc. number come up I immediately google it.  They all come back to Syncrony Bank or some collection agency affiliated with them. Once, the number was not an 800 etc. number and caller ID came up as Syncrony Bank.  At one point they left a message for Anna someone who is clearly not me, anyone who lives here or anyone I know.  I called the number back and there was no option for saying "no one by that name lives here".  I only assume who is calling and why based on my results from 800notes.com.  Thank God for this site.

I have been receiving calls fro this number for the past 2-3 months, calling 5-6 times per day. I do not answer unknown callers but finally had enough and answered. No one there. Finally called telephone company and they can't block an 866 number. I learned that if you don't answer the telemarketer will automatically schedule another call. If you answer and there is no one there that means their agents are busy. WAIT until you get a live person and don't even listen to their sales story. I did that today and repeatedly told the guy to put me on their do not call list and finally hung up when he said ok.
