Whoops.  I inputted correct number but debt collector comment showed up for a different number (perhaps website just popped up most similar number).  So may well be irrelevant to the original number in question.

Results of FTC Complaint

The penalties that NCO Financial faced as a result of the FTC complaint came in at a steep $3.2 million civil penalty. This became the largest penalty amount ever obtained by the FTC against a third party debt collector. This giant penalty amount also came with an agreement from Expert Global Solutions (NCO Financial) and its subsidiaries to stop harassing consumers and using abusive collection tactics that are against the law. If they violate the FDCPA at any time within 5 years after the complaint was filed (July 8, 2013) each violation will be looked at as a separate violation from those listed in the complaint, and will result in more monetary penalties to be paid by the collection agency.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Calls everyday.  Call the number back and a recording for Grand Vacation answered.

Hilton Brands Vacation Company when I called the number back.   Blocked it on my phone.

Caller left no message but could hear background noise.

Bogus Vacation via Hilton Gold Membership. Cancelled my Hilton Hotel Card. Called Hilton and they could care less. Never staying at a Hiltonprperty again.

this number has been calling twice/day for over a week; leaves no a. the number looked familiar from past calls so I picked up. it was a vacation place asking for my adult son. I told them he is not here and please stop calling this number. they did not call today. I'll see how long this holds up.

Received 3 calls recently at my work phone number, with no msg left.  So I called them - message said "Thank you for calling Hilton Grand Vacations."

Calling all day every day

These [***] called me at a work number.  I have never gotten one at work before.  WTH?!?

Called and no one spoke when I answered.  I called number back and it said it was Hilti Grand Vacation Club.

Get this number calling almost nightly but they never leave a message. When I called back, appeared to be a vacation company. Assume they are selling timeshares or offering trips for cheap in return for something that will be far more costly.

Caller said they were calling from Hilton. Wanting a credit card to book 3 days and 2 nights.
