- Monique| 7 repliesReceived 2 messages on my direct work line saying that I should call back for an important business matter. After first time, called back and no one answered. After second time, called back and someone answered. They asked for the phone number that they called (my work line) and then told me who they were calling for. To my surprise, they were calling for my future mother in law. They told me to have her call them. They said that they were calling from CCA...whatever that is.
I told my future mother in law to call the number. She had no idea how they got my direct work line since she doesn't even know it. Very suspicious...
They called again for her a few days later and I told them that they had the wrong number. When I asked how they received my number, I was hung up on. I called them back and when I asked again, I was hung up on again. Very rude... I just want them to stop calling my work phone.
Maybe they are a collection agency???- Caller: CCA
- Inesreceived call on answering machine... said unknown caller so didn't try to return call..
- Caller: ???
- MichiganThey have been calling my direct dial work number for the last 6 weeks. I finally called them and they told me they were looking for one of my employees. They say they handle "several matters" and won't tell you exactly what they do. I would venture a guess that it is a bill collection agency.
- Caller: CCA
- Call type: Debt collector
- macs1Same thing, "Please call us back, this is an important business matter."
I called back and no answer. - GabeI finally called them back after months of their messages. They were looking for someone I have never heard of. I told them that and the lady said she would remove the number from her list.
- Lou RaguCalled the number because they have been calling every day and leaving the generic message that the call is of urgent nature. I was spoken to by an individual that was apparently having a bad morning, AT FIRST! I inquired as to the type of business I was calling and vaguely informed that it's a corporation and it's name is CCA, which doesn't stand for anything but specializes in all sorts of things. I reported the number they called and was informed that they were trying to reach my ex-sister-in-law, using her maiden name. I informed them that I'd be happy to provide them with her contact information! :) The lady became very nice and cooperative with me.

- catReceived a message to call 877-384-0290. Called them back, put on hold, then a man with horrible English talked a mile a minute, was rude, then hung up on me when I told him that the had called the wrong number for the person they were trying to call. Grrr. Definitely a collection agency
- Caller: CCC?
- NRI received a call this morning from the same number, my phone is wacky right now, and caller ID is not working so I was not able to see number. But, a generated message informed me that it was not a sales call and it was very important for me to return the call @ 877-384-0290. If it is so important, why don't they have another human at the other end???
MMMMMMMM, maybe curiosity will get the best of me and I will call them back! - annoyedSame story as everyone above. I just started a new job and received a mobile phone from my company. I'm confident that they're not really looking for me. I'm not sure who they are, not sure who they want... don't really care.
Phone spam! Can it get any worse? - TY-MARIEI just received my first voice mail message from this phone number stating that I need to contact them because "this is a time sensitive business matter requiring immediate attention." I believe all of this is connected to the other telephone numbers I have been receiving from: 800-927-2291 and 313-945-1111. All of this began at the same time.
- Caller: UNKNOWN
- indiana adminI got the same voicemail message as everyone else to call back about a "time sensitive business matter" from CCA. The guy made a point of saying it was "not a sales or solicitation call". So far, I have only received one call from this number (that I know of). I do not intend to call back, especially after reading all these comments. If it's a bill collector, that's all the more reason not to take it any further! I just wanted to make sure I didn't win a sweepstakes or anything, and I now I've confirmed that!
- confusedI just got a call from a long ago friend, and he said they called his cell phone number for me twice. (877) 384-0290 and they asked for me by name. He said that the person spoke very broken and fast English. This is wierd!
- Caller: Unknown
- Logical SolutionBest thing to do is NOT answer this phone number and NOT to confirm you are the person or know the person they're looking for. No Response is the best response to stop the phone calls faster. Once you confirm you are the person or know the person they want, they tend to call more and more times a week.

- Germ| 3 repliesDefinitely a collection agency. Called them back and they were looking for a friends mother that may have called my phone twice in the last two years. The friend called i mean. They must just pull phone records and call EVERYONE the owing party talked to
- Caller: CCA
- Call type: Debt collector
- TripkaCalled twice my number and it's a prepaid phone. It don't use it and no one has the number but family! I have no clue who they are!!
- Caller: cca
- WhatI have two calls one is an automated voice saying its an urgent business matter and the next is some lady saying the same thing. It comes up on my phone as unavailable so I feel no obligation to answer it. Just worried if somebody has my info and its collections for something. Guess its time to check my credit report.
- Caller: CCA
- cI've been receiving these calls for months now on a sporadic basis. Same generic voicemail message, usually starting off mid-sentence with a phone number, then going to mention the urgent business matter. I just ignore it and delete the message. Never bothered calling it back, don't care to either. If they insist on being vague and sneaky about the who/what/where/why/when/how of things, they shouldn't expect me to give them the time of day.
