- kellyDEN Enterprises 1-877-487-4751 was listed on my Bank Transaction. When I tried to call the number, I only reached a voicemail account. I couldn't find anything about the company on the Internet. My bank closed the account to protect me.
- Caller: DEN Enterprises
- MCKDO8774874751, this was on a bank statement for me, too. If you see it, call your bank immediately. I filed a affidavit of fraud.
- AmericanCryptidi typed the phone no into google and found this site. i as well have had about 200 dollars in charged come up on my bank statement on about nov 20. with only the phone no. i culdnt find out who the company was and had the voice mail thing happen to me as well.
- MSG1I too had a transaction from this company appear on my statement. I closed my account but there is nothing the bank can do to stop them from future transactions. I am reporting this to the BBB.
- Rob| 3 repliesGood information and kudos for proactive folks who are willing to share their interactions here. I checked this site the first time just 8 days ago when I first noticed this on my statement and was glad to find new information. In my case, it was < $10.
I followed the leads suggested here and contacted my bank. They were able to tell me that it was a debit card charge and since this information pointed to it being illegitimate, I should stop everything against that card and request a new one. A small inconvenience to go through to protect against further issues. I also opened a case with the fraud department to dispute the charge itself.
I just hope it's not something silly I forgot about, but that's usually not the case - I'm pretty fastidious about keeping good financial records.- Caller: DEN ENTERPRISES
- Amenity2 replies to D| 2 repliesThere is a charge on my credit card but I've not ordered anything...who is this Den Enterprises
- IBG replies to RobI was also stung by the same company(?). Thankfully the charge is small (<$10) and the credit card company credited me in full. I am closing the account and getting a new CC number though...
- Extechy| 1 replyThe same thing happened to me, I was charged $9.65. This is the 3rd time in less than a year that I've had these small, bogus charges against my checking account - each time from a different company where no humans seem to be employed. My bank even merged with another bank earlier this year. The card that was used this time actually belonged to my old bank. I had no idea that it was still active! I haven't used my currently debit card in over 2 weeks.
I am starting to wonder if my bank is responsible for this? Is someone within their organization selling debit card info? Geeze, I'm sick of getting new debit cards. - Miffed replies to ExtechyHere it is Saturday and of course the bank is already closed. I found this $9.55 charge on my online statement made for today. I tried to call the "phone number" and all I received as well was a recording. I was able to have my debit cards canceled though despite the bank being closed. I am extremely careful with my debit cards and never make purchases online with them. I am curious as to how this company is getting away with these frauds????? Luckily I found this site after typing in the number on the web! I hope my bank can take care of this asap!
- muddmikeI just got the bill today (Sat. 12-1) with a charge of $9.65 to my credit card. Appparently this Den Enterprises is a game/hobby store. I called the credit card company, but the office that handles this is not openned, I need to call back on Monday.
I guess they figure people won't notice a small charge.
I wonder how they got my account number and info. I don't use the card that was charged very much. I had just used it at the vet, I wonder if the company that handled their charge has been compromised. I am going to contact the vet on Monday too and have them check. I never gave anyone my account info over the phone or internet.
Thanks to all for sharing this to help me solve this problem. - Rob replies to Rob| 1 replyQuick follow-up - my bank acknowledged that is was not legit and has already refunded the transaction ($9.55). I had to get another debit card and update all my automated payment details that used the old one, but it's a small price to pay for avoiding further fraud. I just wish they'd nail the folks responsible after seeing so many people similarly burned. I think about my Nana who doesn't check her statements so carefully...
- Rob replies to RobBy the way, according to my bank (Wachovia), it was a point-of-sale charge using the debit card number, so it wasn't necessary to close the entire account, but rather just replace the card. Having the close the entire checking account would have made things much more complicated (for me). Hope they're right.
- RolfFound a charge for $9.60 on my Washington Mutual paper statement, which was strange since I haven't used the card anywhere in 7 months.
Customer service at WaMu claimed it was a purchase made over the internet and they are sending me a dispute form. Supposedly it might take "60 to 90 days" for the dispute to be resolved.
I wonder if I should change my CC #?- Caller: DEN Enterprises
- angie| 3 repliesI was charged $9.55 from Den Enterprises. It is great to have a place like this to go to so we can see that it is a bogus charge for lots of people. I was thinking I was going crazy because I couldn't remember what the charge was for.
- MBE227No phone calls, but a charge on the online statement. This had posted within the past 48 hours and this page was the only one I could find when I searched with the terms of "DEN Enterprises" and fraud.
Bank has reversed the charge already but it means I also have the headache of having to have the card cancelled and reissued.
The bank identified the company as being based in Illinois and showing to be classified as Hobby/Game. No direct dial number was given, only the same toll-free number referenced in this page. - MPhillips82No phone call, but a charge on my bank statement for $9.60 to Den Enterprises and this phone number listed. My bank immediately cancelled my debit card and started an investigation for me. They identified this as a hobby or game charge.
As part of the investigation, they asked me if I would willing to prosecute if they caught the perpetrator! I answered with a definite yes!- Call type: Unwanted
- Taffy95I got the same charge listed as a bank card purchase. One of the tellers googled the phone number and said I should check it out. That's how I found this site. I will be filing a dispute in the morning and requesting a new card. Thanks for the info. sharing.
