*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Actually I think she was using the spin cycle to clean her pot to get all the seeds out and that's how the washer broke.  The seeds got stuck in tub and the drain pump.

Just received the call and answered because it was not a ROBO call.. Well, they wanted to talk with my long forgotten EX. (15 years)  Go figure. Said they would take my number off the list.

My wife received a call from this number as well, maybe Meghan, saying she was with an arbitration something or other.  I checked my wife's credit report & it's crystal clear.  That person even called my in-laws.  We have no outstanding debts, have received no letters or e-mails saying we ever had any!  I tried to call the number back & it's always busy.  Strange since we only have 24 hours, per this woman, to call back until we have a judgment against us.  For what!?  This is a phony.

The phone company provider is down they have been working on it since 7am this morning if want please call payment proccessing # at 716-833-0386. Thank u for your cooperation in this matter.

I had a stolen identity case that was handled in court. The person involved did get a loan from cashnet. This collection agency is now the 7th company that has tried to collect this. If anyone wishes to request the business information on the original company (cashnet) this collection agency I can email it to you. This collection agency has been known to try to collect on loans where the paperwork was never completely filled out as well. As long as they have your social security number they'll try to go after you. I just had to mail them court documents and they left me alone, after years of hounding. mgausman@yahoo.com

Got a call from someone named Rose, they called my husbands cell said there is a civil judgement against me. They are putting something on my license so I can no longer drive, and that witnesses will be called in Ohio, where I have never been to testify against me. I have received nothing in the mail this is apparently a scam.

How stupid are you?  You put out a number which can easily be looked up on 800notes and found out to be another scam number. You people try to hide your location, but you always do something stupid which allows us to put 2 and 2 together to locate your scam and report it to the proper authorities.
