- RBO| 1 replyHave gotten several "Robo" calls from this number starting Thurs. April 28. The message claims to be from Citibank. Some posts here indicate its HSB (Household Finance I believe) and/or a scam claiming to be Citibank. We do not have an account with either, nor do we owe either any money. Message claims it's not a sales call so I assumed it was a debt collector with an old number that belonged to someone else. I'm going to block this number.

- mommy3| 4 repliesI had calls from these people 3 days in a row and ignored them thinking it was a scam. I finally turned it over to my husband who finds out it is a legitimate number to Citi which carries many small store credit cards under the stores name. In my case it was Children's Place. There was a charge that I made and had not been receiving statements for. They were very easy to work with and we resolved the charge issue promptly.
- Natasha T| 6 replieskeeps calling every single day. very annoying. Even though my cell is on DNC list.
- bradley lSeveral calls everyday including weekends, late at night and very early in the morning.
- Joanna| 2 repliesThis number started calling us in April 2011, 7 days a week and at all hours of the day. We are on the do-not-call list. ! After getting up and down several times I answered call they asked for a person so I asked who’s calling. Again the girl asks me if I am the person they’re looking for. We have no Citibank Card - Now I’m angry! What company are you calling from the same girl said “Citibank.” Reverse phone lookup shows Bridgeport, Connecticut. If the number continues to harass me and my family I am going to file a complaint with that states Attorney General’s office.
- Caller: Citibank
- Aaron| 2 repliesI have this number on auto-reject because it keeps calling MANY times per day!

- BrittneyIf you have a radioshack credit card...they are incorporated with citibank
- Abby| 14 repliesPLEASE READ THE ADVICE AT THE END OF THIS MESSAGE. I do believe in keeping businesses and scammers in check and calling them out..... filing complaints when justified b/c this type of offenses when there are individuals who are not naive but recognize it is a scam before it gets to out of hand can very well help halt this group as it does attempt to come across as legit. I am not representing any type of legal advice in my writings. I am pointing you to available information through the appropriate federal agencies who need citizens like us to take a stand and provide information to aid in stopping this group of individuals who does not know how to work for what they need but to still, con, and cheat there way from hard-working naive americans. As an attorney for several years, it is only getting worse and it is injuring the economy, taking the elder who are trusting of their retirement, and people who do not realize people are not all in all good people.. Take a moment and check what I remember and if you have a complaint, let's all band together, find others, and not deal with this anymore. It is time there is a stand. It is also a federal offense. Not some civil type crime.***
My smartphone died but I am still connected to a free service www.youmail.com. Youmail stores a variety of contacts and features. I switched companies and telephone numbers. I quit receiving calls to my old carrier/number approximately three weeks ago. This evening, I logged on to my youmail account to convert it to my new number and recover all my photos, songs, contacts, etc. Looking at any recent attempts that may have been made to reach me at my old number, I found the 8775875727 had attempted to call me on 5 separate occasions on 05/25/2011 at:
1) 6:49 a.m.
2) 8:49 a.m.
3) 10:21 a.m.
4) 11:52 a.m.
5) 1:22 p.m.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/telemarketing/tel15.shtm
The Federal Trade Commission is the watchdog that regulates the telemarketing practices, protects the consumers, gives law enforcement authority to prosecution, and works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, unfair, illegal business practice. Complaints can be filed online and free information is available along with numbers to each FTC helplines Telemarketers do not want us to know we have protections, rights, and remedies and there are higher people who can help us along. regarding our rights and protections as consum for there deceptive scam to scam our money, the elderly money, money that is too good to be trues. There does need to be more individuals who recognize what is being done wrong and report this. It is one thing if one scammer rips off another scammer but when some takes someone's life savings or the kid's college education fund with no remorse, this country will never florish. Consequense and the good Americans need to take the country back and not stand for the punks anymore. The FTC has strict rules overseeing the telemarketing field and prohibits a wide variety of misconduct many are not aware of. I do plan on filing a complaint just to alert them of a problem that could be nipped in the bud before more naive victims fail pray. You are able to access complaint forms online. Until not only Americans start rising up for the good and stop putting up with or turning the blind cheek to this convicts who have turned this country down, will never work, and we will continue to have to pay for them when they have this self-entitlement, nothing will occur. I for one refuse to take it any longer. Nothing to contribute, then nothing to this society.
Blatant easy signs to lead you to a potential complaint in accordance with FTC
1) Check phone bill to get accurate call time - It is against the law to be called before 800 am and after 900pm. (prior to even looking for a site, I knew something was fishy with the call to me in the 600 am hour) - complaint will be coming
2) Was it just me or did everyone AND there mother register every single communication device in the No Call Registry a couple years back. I sure thought I did - checked to make sure I wasn't imagining things at www.donotcall.gov - and my number has been on the registry since 2008! There is a course of action I am looking at.
Please go to the FTC and investigate any course of action.- Caller: Fake CitiBank

- Max replies to Joanna| 1 replywrong place to complain, you have to report to the FCC.
- B101 replies to Natasha T| 1 replyYou can be on a DNC list but you can still receive calls from people/businesses that you have a current relationship with. If you owe someone money a collection agency call keep calling you. If you truly don't owe anything I don't know why someone wouldn't just amswer and explain that. To me people who say they don't owe anyone anything and yet won't answer the phone......to me are only fooling themselves. Sounds guilty to me then.
