- JimThis number calls my office at least two or three times a day....most of the time, there is no person on the other end.It gets pretty old.....I will now hang up on them
- Caller: Don't know
- SolotruthDCThese people have both of my cell phone numbers and my work numbers. So how did this caller get this information if Citibank did not give it to them? It makes me wonder.
1 877-587-5727 - JLongThis has nothing to do with Citibank. It is a fraudulent phishing scam. Wake up and smell the coffee.

- JemToday's Date, March 27, 2012
For the past 5-6 days I have received calls from this number within ten minutes of each other, maybe 7 to 10 times daily they call. When answering this number they hang up, had someone else answer the phone next time, (ten minutes later), they still hung up. Today after two more calls, I read all these posts and decided to call them back, and if nothing else get on a NoCall List. they are CitiBank Credit cards and told me I had not made payment on Sears card this month, that I was 16-days late. I pay Sears card online, told them I would check to see if payment went thru, if not then I would call Sears...sure enough, for some odd reason Sears payment DID NOT clear my bank account this month. Therefore, I called Sears and payed over the phone...hopefully now the calls will stop.
If all accounts where paid within 16-days of late payment, America would not be in the shape it is, I am so surprised they have called me this many times for late payment...will see if calls still happen. Thanks for reading! - josephenough. its been too much from this #
- jonathanThis phone number actually finds published phone numbers from the Yellowpages and calls them. Definitely not a creditor.
This is a phishing scam. - PeggyT replies to B101What about those of us who don't owe money? Have great credit and pay our bills on time!!!!!!
You ASSume we are all complaining about debt collectors after us...but many of these are third party collections that call any number they think MAY be related to a debtor.
Over the past three years these calls come in waves looking for a David, a Christine, a Jamie and a Charles. I spend weeks letting these collection agencies know I don't know any of these people. The calls stop for a few months and then a new scum bag collection agency buys the debt and the calls start over again.
This IS illegal and I will complain and report them. - PeggyT replies to Resident47Great information.
Yes, debt collectors are exempt but there are laws and rules they must follow. It is good to be an informed consumer and know your rights, even with debt collectors. It can help you while you are getting your life back in order.
Bad things happen to good people, so don't be afraid to get assistance and information to help you sort out things.
Good Luck to everyone who has been affected by these difficult times. - Cathy Colvinreceiving numerous calls from 877587-5727
unidentified caller - CatladyOne of the MANY Citibank numbers. Been getting calls from them for six plus months from three of their numbers asking for someone I do not know. On my own, found that the possible person has a similar phone number as mine (1 digit is different) and lives in a neighboring city. Over the last month, I've talked to four people within Citibank, suggesting that a data entry error had been made. Last call, I was able to get verification that my address was not the one they were calling about. Each time I've been assured that my number has been removed---as of last night, not so.. Although, it is almost 9:00 a.m. and I've not received my daily 8:00 a.m. call; perhaps it will stop - for awhile.
- DICK replies to kw| 3 repliesOK!!! HOW DO YOU BLOCK THIS CALL!!
THANKS - JermidinCalled twice today. Didn't answer
- km replies to kmpart 2 - CITI is one of those lovely companies that also does debt collection - many different creditors sign up witht them to call/harrass you....yes, you may owe money but they give a rip that you are not working/cannot make payments right now and they're just following the script they have and we all know how that goes....and yes, we also DO KNOW we may owe some creditors so no need for anyone to come back with some smart-a** reply.....
- GramThis number calls every hour or so. Will complain to do not call registry.

- SickOfAnnoyingScams replies to upset| 7 replies877-587-5727 continuously calls our home and interrupts us and they never leave a message or just hang up or whatever when I have answered in the past. They must have some kind of rotary numbering scheme because I hace blocked number after number and they continue to harass with a new number---we ARE and have been on the don not call lists for some time but these [***] continue to do as they please and it's harassment as usual. Why are telemarketers OUTLAWED?
