This number called me tonight 03/10/08 at 8:30pm. No message left.

I keep getting calls from this number. 1-877-944-8544. I just got my phone hooked up 1 week ago, and they have called over 10 times. I have missed it a couple times and get no answer, and answered it, and no one is there. It's annoying.

I just called from my cell phone and it was the Pioneer Press. They were starting a promotion. Apparently, their computer keeps calling... Yeah right.

Called the number back, a young male voice said "I could help him". I said he could help me by not calling me anymore at night. It was the local newspaper, The Herald News. They are the same owner as the Bergen Record. Got a number to call to delete from their call list (201)646-3836. Have not called it, do not know if it will accomplish anything.

I hate this number.  This number has called me ten or more times already starting on 3/11 and now today 3/12 they have called me about six times.  I picked up once and no one answered.  ARGHHHHH....how do i have them to stop.  let me know.

Got called last night and a few minutes ago. They'll probably call again!

Phone call came in I answer and no on responded, I hung up, and call them back but no one answer then a busy signal came at the end.

Phone number called this evening to my husband's cell phone. They are from "the local newspaper" but asked for our zip code. If they were "local" they'd know our zip code. Anyway, we called back and after several attempts while hearing music and being hung up on, we finally got a young-sounding guy on the phone. We asked him to stop calling us and apparently he could see our number on his computer screen and he said he'd remove our number. Persistance paid off!!

Annoying shill for newspapers across the country

877-944-8544  calls to offer me the Bergen Record newspaper almost DAILY.  I've asked them to not call me any longer. It is my cell phone!! I've registered on the do not call list for both home and cell phones. ARGH!

I just got a call from this number too.  From "The Aegis, a local paper."  I informed her this was NOT my local paper and is actually a few counties away.  She hung up on me.

They have called me at least 6 times a day. I don't pickup they hang up when my answering machine answers. Then they call right back at least 3 times. It is VERY annoying.

Got call about 5 minutes ago. No message.
Called once before as well, also no message.
Came on cell phone, which is now my only phone.
Normally, I'd have been woken up by this
call, as I'm usually in bed sleeping by now!

This number has called my business line yesterday and today.  There is no one on the other end, at least within the first 3-4 seconds.  The next time they call, I'm answering and holding down a button.  Maybe they'll think it's a fax and quit calling...
