Ok so I got charged too, $38.99 to my credit card.  Funny thing is I have had the card for about 5 months and I have used it once.  I have other cards I use all the time.  Cards that I use to buy things online and off e-bay, and have bought porn and things from all sorts of less than reputable seeming companies.  The only purchase I ever maid on this card was $17 at a safeway.  What I am trying to get at is that this charge is not related to anything you bought.  It's not the porn, or the cigarettes, or they guy from e-bay that stole your info.  Some hacker found some way to get this info.  What that is I don't really know.  That being said, don't call the number, don't give them anymore information.  Call your bank cancel your card and dispute the charge.  It took me less time to deal with my bank than it did to browse this form and add my two cents.  Keep an eye on your accounts and just be happy you saw the charge and that nothing worse happened.

    *Update*
    Don't Call the number!
Just call your credit card company and they will watch it for you.I assume that the transaction says "pending" on everyones statement;which means these people are guessing your credit card number and waiting for you to call them. When you call them they ask for your Name, Phone Number, and Email, which is all the info they need to confirm the fraudulant purchase to post on your account....So, call your credit card company, explain the situation and it should be rather painless if the charge is still pending.

Same deal...£27.93 taken... I use paypal frequently, but I had recently finished a Brazzers sub. Can anyone confirm they have NOT used a porn site, because it'd make it easier to see if this is a paypal problem or related to the brazzers network and affiliates. Also when did the transaction log? Mine logged on the 27th, the day my subscription ended was 25th, though I had cancelled it right after I purchased it, got confirmation too, I was just allowed access until the month ended.

Just cast my bank who just put me through to them. Woman had a painfully strong accent asked for my name and email, but no bank details, which I would not have given. She said I didn't appear on their accounts but a refund would be processed in 10-15 days... somehow I'm not filled with hope.

Good to know. It would have been annoying if my desire not to download porn illegally had resulted in being scammed XD.

I actually got through to this number to see just what the reason was for the hit on my account. The person on the other end was very vague about helping me to know just who it was that taxed my account.
I asked him the actual name of the service and all he said was that where he worked,"did not represent" the un-named biller---very shady!Knowing that I was not just an easy mark,he said that my monies would be refunded to my account. The money did make it back to my account, but I highly suggest that each of you go to your bank and that your bank stops payment by your credit/debit card so that you are issued a different card and number for future transactions and that you be more careful of who you give out your information to.
Oh,and yes I initially got myself involved with the "billing"service out of stupidity, but I had cancelled their
bogus site service and never thought about it again.Low and behold, someone pops up months later and tries to hit my account when I had already cancelled services.Maybe one of their ex-employees had stolen the number  from my card I don't know, but the fact that they tried to get money that I did not approve was a hanging offense.
I am surprised at just how many people posted a message of some sorts on this site. How many people got hit that didn't reach this site?I am sure that 80% more people did and that is a low estimate.
                                                              stay sharp,
                                                                    William

Don't wait the 20 days or whatever amount of time they tell you it will take to refund your money.  A) They're hoping you'll forget about it by then and B) your bank has certain rules about how many days after a transaction hits your account that they allow you to dispute it.  I'm not sure how many days that is but I'm pretty sure the perps are hoping it goes beyond that.

Simple, just call your bank and dispute the charge.

What I find amazing is not one of us can answer as to what this charge was for. I too received this fraudulent charge on my bank account on the 28th of June. I caught it the next morning...not even my bank could tell me information regarding the number, it took three calls to get an answer. They received my inquiries with no information. I was given the name Martina Ryan as a reference, but NOTHING else. I have cancelled my credit card and begun fraud investigations into this charge. What scares me as a resident of Arizona and completely clueless to this charge on my account is...by the time our fraud allegations have been reversed by our banking institutions...who knows what our money has funded...illegal migration? drug trafficking? TERRORISTIC ACTIVITIES? Please do not let these people get away with it...push for investigation and prosecution of those involved in our victimization. This is a travesty and we have been victimized by persons unknown. Google the 888 number and you will see there are thousands of victims from the same weekend. Verizon owns the number but the company information is secret and guarded. Please excuse my language, but Lets [***] these [***].

I got 3 charges on my bill (1 for $38.99 & 2 for $39.87) in "processing" status since 7/3 from a previous credit card I had already cancelled! The company is shady, a guy named Sonny Simons and had a strong eastern accent, sounded Philipine (No offense to Phillipines). I got lucky, it took all of 3 minutes for them to answer my call, but they wouldn't tell me anything as to who the company was and said my money would be refunded in 10-15 days. I then called my bank's fraud department and the guy was shocked to find that the name of the company appeared as "Recreational Services" and nothing more.

I suggest those who got billed just as I did, get in touch with your bank. Also I tried to track the number via yellow book, phone agent source.com & phone detective.com and got nothing!
