Besides which, I never answer any calls that originate from outside my area code or any that come up private/unavailable. I only answer calls from those in my call list. Anyone else can leave a message and even then I may not return their calls depending who they are or what they want.

Called for my wife, explained she was in the hospital and they ask which one because it was important the contact her ASAP, I slammed the phone down they called me right back and told me never do that again so I did it again--haven't heard back

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

According to others it's a collection agency from Nevada.

I have  been getting harassing phone calls from this number calling my mother and she has dementia .

Called asking for person info. Like ssn#  and address . I told her I wasn't giving her that info until they explained the nature of her call. She said she could not give me that info. Until I verified myself. I says it looks like we have a problem and I hung up! This definitely doesn't not sound right. Sounds like yet another scam, scummy,  bottom feeding illegitimate,  collection agency!!!
