Answered and they wanted my date of birth along with social security number. I told them I had already consolidated and they went along with : Do you want to see if you are qualified with the forgiveness program?"

They know my name, how much I owe, and my phone number. Yet they still need my date of birth and social security? I said good day and hung up. If they know how much I owe, that means they should have my account pulled up. To have my account pulled up they need my social security number.

    Careful guys.

    Tired of this B.S.
They call over and over and leave a voicemail saying that they are Consumer Debtor Protection of Canada Limited and that I contacted them for help about debt consolidation. Call them back at 888-482-0334 at my earliest convenience. Really? Yeah, right. Anyway, why would somebody in the US seek assistance from a Canadian credit counselor (as though that's what they really are... Talk about shady operators. It would be illegal for a legitimate Canadian collections company to do business in the US, yet these clowns have to know that they know they are calling the US from the area code.

Your scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. These forums are for call recipients to share their experience and optionally offer advice.

They are calling because of debt consolidation. They will call over and over from different phone numbers all over the US. I have told them to stop calling me but it seems like my phone number has been forwarded over and over to several different people so they act brand new when I tell them I already told them last time to put me on the do not call list. After telling them to do so, I seem to be getting more phone calls. I even put my phone number on the donotcall.gov website but the phone calls are still coming every day.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

    https://www.straighttalkwirelessforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=6803&t=55006

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Just got a call from them & asked if I was me, started to listen to her speech & interupted her and recited federal laws back to her, also told her that I wouldn't qualify based on income either & why is she calling me? (Silence) & said that's what I thought! & hung up.

Just called me about student loan forgiveness. I ask 3 times to take me off your call list and he kept agruing that I needed to listen to him. On the 4th time saying remove me he hung up. I tried called back but it said the number couldn't be reached and I called again got through and told them to remove my number from their list, he apologized and said he removed me. We will see though.

I'm tired of these people calling me. I told them my loans have been paid already. He wants to know why and by who. None of your business why. I asked to remove me from your list and leave me alone. No you want to keep calling. Next time I'm going to curse you out.
