A lady named Elizabeth called asking for my father, which confused me so then I asked who she was and she said CPC- central portfolio control.  I wrote down her number and then called my father who then told me he had no idea who it was and to give them his home number.  I called the number back and said "elizabeth I have my dads number for you" at this time she cut me off and said " I dont believe a word your saying obviously your father is in hiding so dont waste your time I dont believe you."  I was obviously shocked since I was about to give his number and she hung up on me.  I called my parents at which time my mother wrote down this number and called herself....when she called this lady back she told my mother she never said those things to me and that my father had registered for a hunting trip online and owed 14.50 in S+H.  This is not right since my father cannot figure out a computer and he doesnt even know my home number on top of his head.  The lady hung up on my mother.

This lady Elizabeth called me also demanding to speak to my husband and said I was hiding him.  She was calling about a Direct Buy account we never had/used.  She was very rude when I called her back and she likes to hang up on you.

People like this should not be in customer service. You cant treat people nasty and expect them to work with you. I tried to get more information on this CPC but was unable.  I did ask to speak to her manager but she just said she was the manager. She was a real jerk!

Elizabeth has been calling my cell, my home, my Mom's home, my sister's cell nonstop.  She is far and away the most rude person I have heard from (I've only gotten messages from her).  When I called her back and left her a message asking what the reason for the call was, her next message berated me telling me that she has told me what she called for, that I WILL call her back between 3 and 6PM TODAY!!  Who does she think she is?  I don't understand why she is such a terrible person.

The collector's name is Elizabeth Nelson and I too have had several horrible incidents with her. She has a very short fuse and should NOT be in collections. She does try to twist your words around and is very controling of the conversation and very much a coward by hanging up when she doesn't get control of the conversation. After speaking with her, I spoke to one of her co-workers, who tried to apologize for her, saying she has had too much coffee this morning, but spoke in a way that he even sounded scared of her. I then spoke with her supervisor and her supervisor's boss. After speaking to both of them, it was agreed that she is never to call me again. But, do you think that has stopped her. NO! The good thing is that she has called me on my work telephone and our phones are recorded. I have already gotten the recorded conversation with her and everyone else in that company I spoke with. Since I too have it recorded that she is never to call me and she still does and foolishly leaves hateful messages when I am unable to answer my phone, I am taking all my evidence to the attorney general. So hopefully, no one will have to ever deal with this woman again. My advise on how to handle this woman is just don't let her stupidity of being mean get the best of you and make you say something wrong. I never did loose my cool with her and that bothered her more. But to be honest, I just don't understand how she is still an employee of this company. I honestly don't believe they train collectors to be so mean. She needs to learn that being nice to people gets more results than being so mean. I bet she never meets her quota.

I received a phone called and it was a man he asked for Derwain some name that starts with a D and I told him sorry you have the wrong number, then he went on & was like am I sure and I was like I had this number for along time then he was like this must be identify theft or something because this Derwain number and I was like NO then he repeated my number to me and I was like yea thats my number, then he was like you sure Derwain isn't there and I was like wrong number and I told him I can check, but he cut me off and was like how you check if he's not there and said he will call back and hung up. I was like rudenees, but I was going to check with my brother because he works for a phone company to see what the problem was about having the same numbers, but the guy was very short patient with me maybe because I kept saying NO, but the voice sounds like somebody over a machine, but watch out for this guy I see people talking about a woman it's also a man making phone calls from this number

Just recieved the nastiest call from Eleizabeh at CPC again. I just figured out the CPC is Central Portfolio control She yelled, talked doen to me and tried to make me say I refuse to make a payment. This lady is crazy and needs to be stopped. I had no idea so many other people had similar experiences. This lady is awful!!!

I got the same call and the lady hung up on me! I demanded her to top calling and she hung up me too. So call the number above for the owners ad line is disconnected. I didn't appreciate it and I don't even know how they got my number. I would like to call and harass her.

Thank goodness for the iPhone allowing you to block numbers from calling you. She was rude to me when I asked her to call back cause I was at school. She hung up on me too. Blocked that number. Make her job a little easier.

She still works for them. Got my moms number somehow.  I've never lived at the house my mom lives at now not have I ever had that phone number or been associated with that number. She started asking about me paying off an old loan and I just said well in having trouble paying my own bills at the moment. She got very hateful and said well you still have to pay that debt. I said I know and then I asked how she got my moms number. She started yelling and saying it was her job. I said it's not your job since I have never been at that number. She said so you are saying you won't pay for it and hung up on me.  I called her right back and said no it's not your job to look up my family and I never said I wouldn't pay. I said to mail me the info.

This lady is still at it, still nasty, and still calling people that she has no business calling. She needs to do some prison time, maybe then it will get through her thick head what she is doing is illegal.

This woman is the nastiest woman I have ever talked to. She is rude and hangs up on you when you try to talk. I kept calling back to try and talk to her and she kept hanging up on me than said she called police cause I WAS HARASSING her! Can you believe that. What an evil woman. Just remember Elizabeth people treat you  treated the way you treat them.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

She is still rude......

She still doesn't believe people when you tell them they have the wrong phone number. She accused me of "hiding" the person she was looking for. The funniest part was when she told me the address that my phone number is apparently associated with (which by the way is NOT my address & also is not the address of my Cell Phone Number either & I have no clue where that address even is!) is also the address the person she was looking for was the person she is looking for, its apparently their home address. Except when I googled the address after SHE hung up on me, the address goes to a local UPS store. I feel like she just randomly found my phone number and decided to have an argument or harass me today maybe?

I think she might be crazy & may need to visit a psychiatrist. Some anti depressants might do her well.

I got woke up by this phone number. I listened to the voicemail over and over again. I swear it sounded like she said Central Park Polio Control. I'm glad I googled her name ity all the information, but am irritated because I called the number back thinking that myself or one of my family was exposed to polio. One more number on my block list.
