The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days.

They are a Debt Collection Agency, they have a reason too call does not qualify for the Do Not Call.  Just pick the phone update and stop being paranoid and let them know that this is the wrong number.  They will take your phone number off the account.

I just got a voice mail on my home phone. when I checked it, it said for me not to hang up. then at the very end of the message there was this voice in the background saying "dude.....duude"
How professional is that? lol
I just hope they don't get my cell number.

I have been coming home from work for the last few weeks to find messages on my machine.  No words, just faint background noises.  I assume that this is from auto dial attempts waiting for me to pick up.
Yesterday, there was a message.  An urgent message for Yackoff Smirnoff (or some other eastern European name).  If I don;t hang up in 3 seconds they assume they have the right number (I guess that is my answering machine name, since it didn't hang up on them).  Typical ominous messages.
Meh.  If they want to waste their time with my answering machine, well, that is what delete buttons are for.
Side note: some people have said these people claim that they are with the govt.  There actually is a Financial Management Services department in the treasury.  These aren't them.  They just 'happen' to have the same name.
Somewhere in my junk drawer of adapters and power supplies I have a gadget that lets me record from the phone.  If I ever actually answer one of their calls by accident, the first words out of my mouth will be 'this conversation is being recorded for legal reasons.'
See how fast they hang up after that.

I to keep getting calls from this number it is really annoying I have reported them but they keep calling it si like they are ignoring the complaint against them

I called them back and got some super fast talking guy.  He asked me to verify the phone # they had dialed, and I did.  He then asked me to verify the last 4 of my social.  I did - he immediately said, "STOP right there.  Your middle initial is not B is it?"  I said no.  He politely removed me from their list.  Apparently someone with my same name (a very common name) owes money somewhere.  It ain't me.

prankdialer.com won't work ... it's on the DO NOT CALL list!  Can you believe it!??!!

I never have credit in ANYWHERE, then is IMPOSIBLE TO HAVE COLLECTION PROBLEM. They ask you for your name and sosial secuity number to know is you are the correct person. I asking them to send me all the information by email and they said I will have problem  with my credit record
It is so funny, because ...I NEVER FILL THE APPLICATION FOR CREDIT IN ANY WHERE. They still callind  and Know they are colling to my brother and HE IS TURIST..... ?????????

I never have any credit in any where and they are calling me for collection. They ask me for my address and my Social Security number and my full name.
I'm sure I never fill any application for credit because I'm not apply for it. Always I bought everything in cash if I have money!... Stop call me

Notice to everyone: The phone companies don't provide a service to screen specific numbers like this number.

I received a couple calls from them on my direct line at work.  The message they leave says if you would like to speak to a representative press 9 otherwise hang up.

I keep getting a call from 800-580-7611. They will say on my machine that if I want to talk to a rep then press 1 if not the call will end. I decided to answer one day. Here they call me and when I pressed one they asked why I was calling them... I told them they had called me. She then asked to speak to someon that is not at this phone. I told her that this is the wrong number. They keep calling. They said they are from FMS which is a collection agency. I am not in debt so I don't need a collection agency calling me.

I called the number back and was immediately patched through to a representative without having to push any numbers. The lady was pretty nice.. simply said she's take my number off the list.

FYI.   Since it is a debt collection agency, the do not call list does not apply to them.  The only way to get them to stop is by calling them or answering the phone and requesting to be removed.  

You may also file a complaint with the FTC if they fail to comply with your request.

Pro Tip. If getting calls on a cell phone just add the bothersome number to your contacts - give it a ring tone that is so low you barely hear it. Then you don"t get annoyed by them calling you because you don't hear them calling you.

This company keeps calling for a Crystal Healy.  When you call it AUTOMATICALLY places you into a VM box so that it has a record of you calling.  There is no one at my residence named Crystal Healy, no one in my family Crystal Healy and I am not affiliated with any Crystal Healy.  

I have registered with the National Do Not Call Registry and filed a complaint with the FTC.  I am a recent widow and do not appreciate having messages from Walter Smith threatening me every day sometimes two and 3 times a day.  

Any assistance you can provide to get these harassing calls to stop would be greatly appreciated.

I will pursue legal action if necessary.

spam back use google voice dont stop. hope someone make an automatic way to spam them back. sounds easy to do.

We know it is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, but I think we use an offshore corporation or something -- maybe there is a loophole to get around it. Apparently, they figure you know who they are looking for if you have the old number for that person - he says they assume you /are/ the person and you are lying.  He calls the debtors "dead beats" and purports to have a great record through use of intimidation.

He is kind of a jerk, but you don't pick your friends, they pick you.

This nubmer has called my house 4 times in the last hr and a half.  It rings once and then is gone.

They called and wanted me to verify my ID by giving them my address and last four of ss.  NOT.  I told him I would not verify anything because I dont know who you are or what you want.  He would not tell me until I verified.  We all know where that went from that point dont we.    All money is created at the point you put your signature on the paper.
