Have received MULTIPLE calls from this company. One asked for Eleanor Roosevelt?!! Seems they just ask and or call with random names from celebrities to whomever.

Telemarketing company? We have received at least 5 calls today!

These people are [***] [***]! They call my job constantly from different numbers such as https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-856-204-0000 and
https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-856-204-0652 . I keep hanging up but today they assaulted me with millions of calls. They must have hit redial at least 50 times in the matter of minutes. They were even calling me twice at the same time from different phones. When you answer if you don't say anything and mute it they justkeep saying hello hello. I've tried to talk to them but when you do they hang up on you!

Very Weird - they called my work and got through to me. When I said yes after she asked my full name the woman responded by YELLING & LAUGHING at the top of her lungs my nickname...JEN!!! then hung up.  SUPER weird but pretty sure it is some sort of business list telemarketers are trying to sell to companies as some sort of "verified" and this is their idea of "veryifing" the contacts...whatever!

An asian guy just call me too.  He asked if I was (my name) and when I said "speaking", he hung up.

Got a call, loud noise-industrial like- in background, male with heavy accent asked for one of our managers.  I asked for his name, he said Simon and the call cut out.  He called back, he accused me of hanging up on him.  I explained that I did not, maybe he has a bad connection with the background noise.  He again asked for one of our managers, I asked him what organization he was with, he said he was not with one, that he was returning her call.  As I was transferring the call,the call dropped... ie he hung up.  Seems like a prankster to me

Caller from 206-203-7316 just asked for an employee of one of my clients in a different state. Instructed office mates not to answer phone when this number displayed.  These people don't have a life!

Getting calls on my personal cell phone from this number and 856-204-0652....seems like the same company.  When I answer its just background noise.  WTF is the point??

This just happened to me, too. I have just placed a winning bid on eBay and not two minutes later I get a call from a guy who asks for me by name (first and last), when I say, "Yes, this is." He says thanks and hangs up.

Is it a scam or just a crummy verification process?

Any insights to share on what may be going on?

This is the number of Nextel communications.    They are a third party long distance service provider. They have some female call and promise you to save money. They dont tell thier company name when they call. to solicit business. Absolute ...scam. Had my business bill go up by $60 -70 and also lost the bundle priviledges from the primary carrier.  You can lodge a complaint with the primary carrier and request all charges to be cancelled and refunded. I just hung up from a return call from this number. As soon as I strated asking questions the person on the other side hung up.

Caller asked for James Hicks.  There was a lot of background noise (sounded like a warehouse).  When I said there is no one here by that name he said "Thank you" and hung up.  The caller ID (which could be spoofed) was 206-203-7316.  The guy sounded like he had a slight middle eastern accent.

206-203-7316 was the caller ID.  This guy had my name correct.  Ok, now what?  He starts asking questions about my phone line, blathered something about being in the "IT department".  I don't play that game with anyone.  I ask what the call was about, told him that HE called ME and "I'M" not asking HIM any personal questions, so what is this about?  The rat hung up.

I just got a call from this number at work, a man with a thick Indian accent confirmed my full name and then hung up.  I am weirded out that he knew my name at my unlisted work phone number.  I get these calls on my cell and now my work phone???  UGH!

Would be great if someone can identify the boiler room operation so we can launch a massive complaint with the FCC and phone companies....

I got a call from this number.  He asked for me by name and when I said speaking, he then repeated my name in a weird way and asked how old I was.  When I asked who it was, he said John Peterson.  When I asked how he got my number, he said he was a friend of my husband's.  I'm not married, so I told him he was full of crap and hung up on him.
