- jshdhh| 1 reply.... scammers
- john cena replies to jshdhhI got numerous calls from them, so i answered as if i was in a law firm " Hello Mendleson and Stevens law frim, how may i help you" ...they hung up and havent called back.
- Marie| 1 replyI have gotten a call from this guy yesterday. He said his name is "Shawn Bradford" from "legal support services" but never said my name or the actual name of the city or county where he was from. He said I needed to have either me or my attorney call him as soon as possible or they were going to proceed with the legal proceedings.. Whatever. I didn't call him back and I blocked the number. I checked the number and it's from San Antonio Texas where I had received another scamming call like this one before.

- ChotsaniGot a phone call from them today. They told me that I would be arrested in 48 hours if i didn't pay over 1,000 dollars for a payday loan. And i have never gotten a payday loan before. They said that i would be locked for 6 months and charged with fraud. They knew all of my personal information including my past employer and my social security number. They sounded very convincing. But i knew that it was a scam.

- CLBFunny thing is they have called one of cell #'s 3-4 times now. I called from another cell #, one guy answered and said hello. I told him that they were making me MAD for continuing and threatening us over a loan we took out last year, 2013. Funny thing is, we didn't. Then I asked what company he is with and he replied, "tell me your phone # and I will see what case it is." I said no and he hung up. So I called again...I got Terry with Litigation...blah, blah, blah...I said excuse me, what company are you with? He said he needed my phone # to see if they have a case and then he will tell me whatever I need to know. I told him he didn't need my number to tell me the company name. He told me I have to call back and he hung up. So I did call back and heard some background noise and they hung up.
Next time they call, I'm using the name of my attorney!!!- Caller: Litigation Services?
- Call type: Debt collector
- AlexandersIn deed its a scam. When he said payday advance loan, I knew that was a lie because they've been out of business for years. Plus they had to issue money back to the people they previously slammed with those so called interest rates. When I pulled that card, he hung up on me.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.- Caller: Informaitonal Post

- AnonymI've received calls from this number so then I blocked it, since I've been scammed before. Then the same guy called from another number 2104463760 and so I blocked that number and now I just got a call from the same guy (or sounds the same) from 4403874020. Threats of arrest and other legal actions. This is getting so old and I'm just sick of it.
