- MasterPooperTotal scammmm!!! LOL I called from a different number and it said due to suspicious activity that my card is locked. They it proceeds to ask for my 16 digit card number, numbers on back, exp date, street address and last 4 of social. I just made up numbers the whole time and when all was done it told me my card was safe to use again.... Haha dont fall for that BS

- suspiciousGot a message--
(FG8KDB0A) ID: 471477 BOA warning alert! Please call +1(213)550-3843
Notice it's not BOA but B0A, and is obviously shady. I looked it up on Google (which is how I got here), and will now delete it from my iPhone messages. - suspicious2Also received a txt message from this number, noted the typo's and assumed it was spam but googled the # and landed here as well. Blocked on my phone now :)
- SCAMMEDa window popped in my b of a online acct yesterday asking if I wanted to be notified of fraudulent activity.
I inserted my phone number. Got a call today asking if I had done a debit for $$$.$$ I responded ...call me..no return call so I called them. The answering machine sounded exactly like the B of A site...be careful about that....I gave them my card number and pin (dumb) before I hung up and called the CORRECT number on the back of my card. I had to cancel out my card.
Ripoff. Usually I am careful, but because it happened in the B of A site the day before I thought it was legimate. It is a big SCAM. Beware. - dawnrecvd text alert advising security measures warning message.............I don't even have a bank of america card

Beware - paJust got a text saying that I must call 213-550-3843 immediately about a Bank of America debit card security issue. I hate these robotext phishing messages. I wish the authorities could track down these thieves to keep the more gullible people safe from these predators.
- Caller: Bank of America (purports to be)
- Call type: Text message
- Also PASame. Must be running through the 610 area code now
- Caller: Fake BOA
- Sick of it| 1 replyI got a text from these fools, and this call is considered fraud, so I don't understand why FTC is not putting a stop to it! A robo call about products or a company I can see as not that important, but when they are looking to commit fraud and steal your information something needs to be done. Fortunate for me I have no BOA acct and would never give any personal information over the phone!
- Caller: Scammers
- Tamianth replies to Sick of itSpoofed numbers make it hard to track these criminals down.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
