Received a call from this number stating that his name was Marcus Brown from Legal Processing.  Says my name, SSN and banking information is involved in an investigation and he strongly advised I call him back.  I don't think so!!  Sounds like a scam.

Same number, same information given, ss#, name, fraud investigation.  My friend is a retired Assistant Attorney General, he  has taught me well.  No-one out of my  state should be calling new about any fraud.  That would be taken care of by the local AAG's office.  Dumb ppl.

I receive calls from the number everyday! So gets on my nerves! Anyways, so after the call today, I called them back and a lady answered. I didn't give her time to say a word. I immediately told her to STOP calling my number, that they were harrassing people and it needed to stop. She proceeded to tell me it didn't work that way. I am told her that today it was going to work that way (I'm sure it won't) BUT...anyways. Turning these people over to the BBB does not good. All they do is change to another phone number. These parties that sale our #'s to other companies need to be fined huge amounts of money and maybe this would stop. If I could reach through my phone they'd wished they'd never called me!

Just received a phone call from this number 305-390-2564, telling me my social was involved in a fraud , and if I didnt make arrangements to pay back a processing fee for a loan that criminal charges would be filed against me. I told the lady that I never received any money, she said that I probably didn't read the fine print that there was an application fee. Also told me that I needed to make a decision to take care of this .

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I received this call also.  Recieved a call very similar last year also.  Got them to stop calling last year by answering and not indicating it was me.  asking questions to them and telling them that I was legal counsil for them.  Also informed them right off the bat that the call was being recorded and tracked.  They did not like it got made and then hung up.  calls stopped for about a year.  They will also try to say the county was coming out to get me .. the police do not arrest people about civil matters and you must be served to appear in court.  so play tuff and tell them to do what they have to...

Don't call back! Often these scammers use your call back as a way to make scam charges to your cell phone account. Just ignore them and they'll go away

Same messages everyone else is getting. Ron Brown (305) 390-2564 leaving a message on my child's phone that they have name, banking information and social security info and he "strongly suggests that I call him back". This was a perfect lesson for her to learn how to delete these messages immediately and never confirm that they have found a good and active number by calling them back. and never asnwer the phone if you don't have this number in your contact list.

Kept getting recording then blocked the number completely. Somehow they keep getting through- using various numbers. Will just keep blocking. If it is truly a legal matter they would NOT do the courtesy of a phone call.

Annnnd a call from Mr. Marcus Brown indicating that there was a fraudulent check that was issued.  I returned the call and spoke with a Mr. Jonathan Connor with the "Legal Mediation: Fraudulent Check Department".  He indicated that to pay the amount it would have to be via Mastercard, Visa or Western Union because they would not accept checks.  Saying that the check had to do with a loan amount that was created over the internet.  Saying that Innovation Resources was the third-party attempting to collect and something to do with a bank account and the arbitration agreement.

I called two different times and acted like I needed info to pay the amount.  I asked what the company's name was and the first time the person stated, "Legal Mediation - R P & Associates" located in FL.  Second call, "Legal Processing - R Perez & Associates" located in FL.  Needless to say, this scam operation seems to be quite prevalent.
