Claimed to be a paralegal?  Hum?  Looking for someone that hasn't lived here for 10 yrs.

Called and left a message that a warrant for my arrest was issued to pick me up at my place of employment. The same message was left the day before on my cell phone . the number that call my house phone was 412-346-1349 the one left on my cell was 916-282-1314. Called the number she didnt even verify information. Luckily, I didnt give her any information. When I asked for verification of the debt, she said oh yeah. I told her the debt was not mine, she said I have to prove it. They have to send you verification of such debt. I didnt even receive anything in the mail concerning this issue, so it has to be a scam.

For many months, I was receiving a voice mail  from numbers 603-296-2334 and 916-282-1314, all message were same, calling for a person who is not me, and all messages threatening summons for fraud.  I finally got sick of them and called them back, spoke to man in the "legal dept" who would not give his name or name of company, told him I was not the person he called and I was sick of the calls.  He was threatening and nasty, and I said I would also report them (whoever they are) to the local authorities.  Today, I received a call from 412-346-1370, with the exact same threats, told to call back to the "legal dept" 412-346-1349, called back, spoke to Ms Henderson, told her I was NOT the person they were trying to reach, she asked for my info, told her no and she said "then you are going to keep getting the calls".  Advised her I would not, made a complaint to FBI and another will be made to the FCC today.  All 4 calls referenced the exact same "case number".  This is causing me undue stress so I am also updating my attorney and when they find these people my attorney will take over.  

I was contacted by someone who claimed to be affiliated with Pretrial Processing of Philadelphia County. The lady I spoke with, Brenda Wood was extremely rude and refused to give me all of the information about this "case" but she did inform me that a fraud case filed against me in their office for a TD Bank account. I did have a TD Bank account but I closed it out over a year ago and I DO NOT owe them any money. For piece of mind, I contacted TD Bank to verify that the account was closed and that I was in good standing with the bank, which it was. I proceeded to contact Philadelphia County directly to get more information regarding the so-called case filed against me. The lady from the Philadelphia County office, Marie, said there was nothing in her office and asked for the phone number of the person who had called me. She was kind enough to do a search and found that the people who called me ARE NOT affiliated with Philadelphia County at all. I called Brenda back and asked to recevie a letter in the mail so I can pursue legal action against their company for this bogus claim, she said she would send something out by the end of the day and hung up on me. I know my rights and I will be getting in touch with an attorney to have this stopped!

Received threating calls from this number 412-346-1349 that they were serving a warrant to place of employment and my home.  I have been receiving these call now for the last couple of months.  Sometimes the person will say my name is Robert with no last name.  I will wait on the papers and we will go into court.  I have also heard voice messages on my job phone also with the same information.  I will report the calls to the FCC, BBB and FBI for investiagation

these people call and call .. We told them we are not that person and they continue o cal.. They called my husbands work , which how can they associate this person with him. Not related nothing. They threaten to serve papers and we say serve hem we are home.. No one ever comes. I swear they just look for people with the same last name a harass them endlessly......

I been receiving these calls for the last 5 months. Saying I will be summon to civil court with 2 frauds and I should call them to work out an arrangement before I am served. Scam scam crap. Changing my number I am done.

these rude ass people continue to call and say that me and my husband have a fraudulent case against us and we will be summoned to go to court and they want to serve us papers...if there was a case being filed against us than believe me my own county attorney would get in touch with us .If we did do something fraudulent we sure would know about it, and we would be served papers from our own county and state, not from a county and state that is 2000 miles across the U.S. This place that is calling us is located in Pennsylvania, we are in CA. The sad thing is that there are people that believe this nonsense, and get scared....these people who are preying on vulnerable people, are just fools, and think they can do this to people by calling them over and over. Well it's not working here. I am filing a complaint with the FBI and police dept.

I keep getting voicemails from 412-346-1349 and 916-282-1314, and 603-296-2334, and 412-346-1370/ they leave a VM saying they are processing 2 charges against me. Scam block all these numbers!!!!!!!

Caller left a message that I would soon be served legal action.  If I didn't return a call asap I would forfit my legal rights.  Lady leaving message was named Janette Alfonzo.  She claimed the charges were associated with my Social security number.  I'm not calling back because I know it's a scam.  412-346-1349

Just received call saying that someone who doesn't live here but has same 1st name as my husband has fraud charges..........scam#!!!

I have recieved these calls before and I was told that if you are close to your 7 years for a debt on your credit to be deleted- some how these num-nuts will get the bare minimum information and call and tell you that you are going to be charged within your county for fraud! It's all a lie. In my opinion they are committing fraud!

Folks, you may owe a deb or you may at one time have owned a debt but whether you do or don't PLEASE be aware that ANY collection company that usese threats like this company does SHOULD NEVER BE DEALT WITH.  They are the lowest form or life (save perhaps for lawyers and politicians). They DON'T CARE if they've got the right person or not; ALL they care about is getting money in, from you, from your neighbor...it doesn't matter...they just want money.

BLOCK callse from these numbers AND REPORT THEM to the FCC and your appropriat state agency (that regulates collection companies; almost all states have a departmet that does so).

This is 100% a scam. I received a call yesterday about being served a summons for fraudulent charges against me. I immediately reported them to the FBI, FCC, BBB, and local police. The FBI emailed me back the same day confirming it was indeed a scam. Do not believe a word these scumbags say. Report them, block their number, and forget you received the call.

I too have received these calls about a debt in 2007. They threatened you with summons and demand money immediately or else. This sounds like someone working from home. The person said his name was Daryl King.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I have received calls for months when I received a call one day I called back person I talked too didn't give me a name for the company he worked for couldn't tell me name of the company I borrowed money from just said fox industries don't know the company but will say that everywhere I have lived I have change of address done have not received any notifications in mail and will not pay anything on line no matter how intimidating they get was informed two weeks ago that courier was on his way to deliver documents I am still waiting I save all voice messages from these companies hope to sue have blocked one number now two  new numbers call same message same case number I am sick of these calls

Irony- the perpetrators of these calls are currently the subject of an investigation and facing indictment.  It is a scam.

Thanks for posting the links.  I, too, am getting messages everyday for a person whose name is not even close to mine. I have had this land line phone number since 2001, so either it is made up or a very old database they pick names from.  I called once and left a message to stop calling me, and in hindsight that was dumb because they keep at it now using additional numbers like 302-883-8691.  I will just ignore them and let them keep on leaving messages that I will record and keep records of while I file complaints.  I am sure they are a moving target so as soon as they are found out they will resurface elsewhere.  Frustrating.  I hate to be cynical but the authorities will get them, but someone else will take their place.  And if I don't respond and give them money, they will choose an easier target which makes me sad.  Lesson: You need to be very careful and tough in today's world.

Recieved a call from these scammers at my place of business earlier today. Said I was being investigated for fraudulent behavior using my name and SSN (I thought this was funny seeing as how they're the frauds here.) I knew it was fake once they said if I was "served" papers then I had no rights. People who fall for this should know what they're rights are and being served a court summons or even being arrested is not proof of guilt and your rights are still intact. You are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Period. If you recieved a call from these idiots, tell them you're reporting them to the FBI and local authorities for FRAUD and make sure you do so afterwards.
