Some Dip Sh*t scam.  Saying i owe for a Loan from a couple years back.  Pay today and actions will stop.  Such crap.  SCAM SCAM SCAM.  

Have called me twice, leaving two messages regarding legal actions to be taken against someone named Richard W., which is not me.  Don't know if it's a scam, but they have the wrong number... I don't know Richard W. the call is coming from Kentucky, however I live in Southern California.  

Pre trial calling

Threatening to file suit against me for a payday loan from years ago that has been paid since 2008. Saying they were coming to my job if I didn't pay.

We don't know anyone in Kentucky. We owe no one there and I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

I have been dealing with this fraud for about 3 weeks. I was able to handle it  all, myself, until today. Just learned that they have been threatening my mom, who is about 70, and my oldest brother.

I have exhausted all of my known resources with all details, e.g. local sheriff's dept, alltel/at&t, in order to resolve. There has been absolutely no resolve. In fact, my impression has been that alltel/at&t are just as fraudulent as the given.

Considering the number of legitimate complaints against this particular fraud, which are posted to the internet, where the hell is government investigation?

I have paid thousands to the aforementioned companies and US gov't over the years for their service, seemingly without just service.

What to do?

Get your Mom a call blocker and your brother should also. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

All of you need to file complaints. This has extortion scam written all over it. For Extortion Scam Operations,  File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

been getting these calls on my cell phone! pain in rear, threats , name calling, all the  b/s . where the hell are the feds?????  these people are full of it!! turn them in!!!

Received 4 calls from this phone number today- no VM were left- will report the number and block it.

HUGE illegal scammers.  Ask them for their address and they hang up on you!  Not only are they illegal but extremely unprofessional low life rats. Pay them no mind. I called them back 20 times in a row, not one of them would give me (a) their legal name  and (b) their legal mailing address.  I called so much, all of a sudden their # wasnt working Maybe they blocked my phone #, yet they want my money? Left no message. These calls start up about every three months to my cell, looking for a person in my town whom i do not know but found out she was a victim of identity theft.

Same $hit different robo calling full of $hit criminal scammer. Please see abover VERY informative information. I would just be repeating it. YES it's a SCAM, a CRIME. These people belong in JAIL! You have NOTHING to worry about! Now go get them!!

Have gotten multiple calls from this number and 2 others associated with the same fraudulent company. They state that they are process servers from the county i live in giving me the opportunity to settle a debt of 1943.00 before they track us down at work to serve papers. I've dealt with more than 1 of these scams. What is concerning to me is the amount of personal information they have about my husband. Including last 4 of his social, our old address as well as an old account number that we had with our bank that we had closed because our account info had been compromised. I've reported them to our state's attorney General and also the fbi. I urge you all to do the same.

Yep, they have started up again. Now using/spoofing a local number.402-413-9100 to try and get me to answer.

They keep leaving threatening message and calling my son.  They advised my son that they would continue to call him because he was being combative

Call blocker is your best bet.  Also don't pick up on call numbers you don't recognize.

This number keeps calling even though It has been blocked by me. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM Do not fall for it.!!

They have called my home,cell, and job since December 1, 2014. They threatened to send a report to employer.
