This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I am an attorney in Florida. A client received a call from  513 392 0880 the person calling identified herself as Catherine Ballard of the "fraud division". I called the number and a male who wouldn't identify himself answered and told me to send a letter of representation to 104 Vine Street Cincinnati, Ohio. I looked up that address- it doesn't exist. I called back and told the same unidentified male that he better take my client off the call list or I would make it my personal business to track him down and have him arrested.

That should do the trick !

I got the same call as all of you. Then got an email also. They sound like scammers.
I have always been told that true debtors do not contact you by email or a phone call

Got a call yesterday from this number 513-392-0880, said they were from Fraud Investigators demanding money and said paperwork had been filed against me. Would not give correct name or their address over phone, kept changing name when I called back to them.

I received this same call yesterday, they said they were calling from Arizona from my old bank Desert Schools Fraud Dept, and demanding money.  I also called the Ohio Attorney Generals office last night and the number they are calling from is  spoofing, they could not find in their database a legitimate number 513-392-0880, because it doesn't exist, these guys are scammers and everytime you call back they change their name from API, to Fraud Dept, to Litigation Investigations, and they change their own personal names too.

They called me and had my WHOLE SSN (I already have a freeze with all 3 bureaus), and old address AND an old bank account. I did not volunteer any information. I know the freeze works because I was asked today to temporarily remove it so a potential employer could complete a background/credit check. They threatened 3 felony charges, a letter to my job and an arrest. They would only tell me that I had a payday loan with Advanced LLC who oversees these types of loans for over 100 companies. They would not tell me exactly how much I supposedly owed nor would they give me information to pass to my attorney. The longer I kept them on the phone the more hostile they became. I simply hung up on one of them and then I told the second one "F you" before hanging up on him.
