Just received a call but I did not answer, never received a call from this area code and was curious on who it might be.

First call, no one was there. Second call, a woman claimed to be calling about debt collection. It was a debt settled almost a year ago. Scam.

I have been called by this # several times a recording calling about debt collection

I have been told this company keep calling my old number at work and telling strangers what they think is  right about a debt.  They do not need to keep calling when someone tell them a person is no longer at that ext or number!! Lawsuit!

i got a call from this number. they called at 8:30 pm. i didn't answer because i didn't know the number. so the voice message left was, a guy saying, "hello. hello. hello. hello" caller id came up as ccsoffices.com?

its Central Credit Services  aka ccs  they also call from 617-581-1964

A man called had my ssn and said he was attempting to collect a debt from wells fargo however a police report was filed for this claim. This is a crazy as they have my name, address and ssn.

I keep getting multiple calls from this number a day! They ask for a Rick Aguilar and that he needs to settle a debt. I keep telling them that I am not this Rick they are looking for and to please take me off of their records. I asked nicely and the woman on the other end was very rude.

Don't know who this is calling, but they call several times a day.

This number keeps calling do not know who they are. I called from a different phone and they said you are on a recorded line what is your name. I  said I have the wrong number.

These could be scammers beware!

They call all hours day & night. I've blocked them and everything else but they always come up with a new number to call me from. I filed a complaint with my local police and that doesn't seem to help.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

The call is apparently from Wells Fargo Collections.

lame debt collector attempting to collect an invalid debt. i informed them they need to provide proof of debt in writing via mail. i have yet to receive such proof.

Apparently, the company affiliates with many lawyers. CCS--Credit Collection Services Credit Control Services, Inc. d/b/a 2 Wells Avenue Newton MA 02459-, (617) 965-2000.

In Massachusetts, the foreign corporation is listed as Credit Control Services, Inc. (a Delaware corporation) d/b/a 2 Wells Avenue. The president of the company is STEVEN SANDS. The registered agent for service of process is: CT Corporatiuon, 155 Federal Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02110.

This company claims to represent Wells Fargo. They are trying to collect on a checking account that was closed due to fraud (It had a negative balance due to the fraud). Wells Fargo eventually paid me the money that was stolen from the account.

This CCS company had started calling me to collect on this Wells Fargo account that had a negative balance. I keep telling them that this was already settled. I have never got any claim from Wells Fargo that I owe them any money.

Finally after months of this they offer to connect me to Wells Fargo, so I say "OK" After waiting on hold I finally get connected to Wells Fargo. They want my SS#, and I refuse to give it to them. It ends up THEY ARE NOT WELLS FARGO!!!!

It is a scam. The person I talked to did not work for Wells Fargo and had no idea about anything that had happened on my account. I was very angry with this person, because I caught them in a lie, which is fraud. They just called me again and I told them I am reporting them for fraud. I have asked them to get me a letter from Wells Fargo, and they can't do it.

Same here. The last time they called me, I told them that I am recording this call, and they hung up.

They just keep calling!!!!
