Got a call from this guy said if i could not make a payment from my debit card of 800 dollars to pay off an old payday loan then i would be arrested within 24 hours, his clients wanted my head on a plate.   Is this legal. the payment to the loan company was returned NSF and I thought it was paid, never heard from them til now

THIS MAN TOLD ME THAT IF I DIDNT PAY THIS LOAN COMPANY I WAS WITH 3YEARS AGO THAT I WOULD BE ARRESTED IF I DIDNT GIVE HIM A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER IN THE AMOUNT OF $1315.00 BY THE END OF THIS MONTH. THIS MAN IS JUST A DEBT COLLECTOR AND HE JUST TRYING TO SCARE PEOPLE TO GET  MONEY!!!

Got a call from this jerk.  Here's the deal.  He is NOT a legitimate collector.  He is fraudulant, and is using illegal tactics to collect on debts that either have been settled, or just happen to be owed by a person with the same name as yours.  DO NOT give this prick any of your information!  Also, you are not going to be arrested, he is in Atlanta, just laugh this prick off.  I told him, go ahead, arrest me.

My lawyers are working w/GA State Police, this dick has sooo many complaints.  He's the one who is about to get arrested for fraud, impersonating a law enforcement officer, and violating the FTC's and the Fair Consumer Protection laws.

this person that is called mel clark called my house asking for two different people and just when asked who he was just said he is an investagator and that it was urgent but didn't want to say what kind of investagator but he was very rude and mean.

I got a call Mr. Mel Clark AT MY JOB!!!!! He was very rude and very mean. When I asked him what company he was with, all I got was that I owed this debt, he was looking at my credit report. When I asked him for validation of the debt, he said that he didn't have to validate anything and all I needed to do was give my credit card number. He threatened to call the police and my corporate office. What a SCHMUCK!!!!!!!

Called and left a msg saying his names mel clark and he has a possible investigation against me??

This guy is a schmuck!!! He has called at my job and rattles off that I'm going to be arrested. He's a con artist. He uses highly illegal tactics to try to get you to pay! Don't give him any info.

This is not legal! I just checked on the atturney generals website and he cannot threaten you, or make you beleive you will be arrested or charged with a crime if you don't pay a debt. I filed a complaint with the AGO just a few minutes ago. He has called my husband's employer many times, his friend, and my mother.

This man call my job and also said that if i did not give him a 1000 that i would be arrested he said it was check fraud that i has wrote a bogus check  he did not say where to send the money too he told me to go to walmart and get a pre paid card with the visa logo on it and then call him to get the number off of it so he can get his money who is this man?

lee page called me and told me there was a complaint filed against me from ezloan. i needed to pay so much money every 2 weeks until debt satisfied or they will turn over to their attorneys and take me to court and garnish me. i asked what was the lowest payment i could make. she said hold on a minute. she put me on hold for 30 seconds, came back and said she spoke with ezloan and they gave her a specific number. whatever!!!! that is so bogus! do these people really think we are that stupid?!!!!!! GEEZ! i asked for a letter stating how much i owe and to who. i have never recieved it even though they say they mailed it 2 weeks ago. bs!!!!! i am not going to pay these freaks!!!!

I got a call from  invesitgator Mel Clark at Delenaor Kemper and Associates in regards to a check that I left uncleared for   2 and half years... I was really nervous  because I knew that I had to clear this up and I thought that I could just leave these checks outstanding..... So I paid  up  because I didnt want to go to court... I have a friend  that went to jail because of this  and i didnt want to end up like him.... My Advise is if you give these bad checks and dont have  no intention on paying it stop.... Take care this debt because its serious....

THEY CALLED MY WORK AND FIRST SCARED ME TELLING ME THAT SOMEONE WROTE A BAD CHECK OUT OF MY ACCOUNT AND THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO COLLECT AND THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A WARRANT OUT FOR MY ARREST.  AFTER FURTHERING INVESTIGATING THIS IS A COLLECTION AGENCY AND SCAM ARTISTS.  I CALLED BACK FROM A BLOCKED NUMBER AND RECEIVED AS MUCH INFORMATION FROM THIS COMPANY AND EMAILED THE FITC.  THEY CANNOT HAVE YOU ARRESTED FOR NOT PAYING A DEBT, IF THAT WAS THE CASE, HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WOULD BE IN JAIL!! THEY CAN TAKE YOU TO COURT, BUT THE JUDGES HERE IN CALIFORNIA WILL ONLY HAVE YOU PAY WHAT THE TRUE AMT IS DUE AND NOTHING ABOVE....

A Mel Clark called and harrassed a family member about a bounced check and needing the money now.  If not they would go to jail.  we were willing to pay a legit unpaid bill for them....once we researched it we saw all the info on this number and name.  Total scam.  Mel Clark is SCUM.

My father called me at home and told me that a man was looking for me and he was an investigator. So I called him back and he immediately started yelling and threating me. He said that I had a warrant out for my arrest for $1,900.00 pay day loan that I suposely wrote a "HOT CHECK" for. He asked for my credit card and bank account information and when i declined he started threating and cussing me again. He said that if the debt was not paid by the end of the night that he would have me arrested by the end of the night, CPS would take my 2yr old son away from me, and have my wife kicked out of our home. I asked for letter of proof and he had said he sent out 8 letters and called numerously! (he lied). I called him out on it and once again he raised his voice and began threats and cussing at me. He said that I had feloniesdue to this "$1,900.00 hot check" and I would regret it tonight if I did not pay this now! What can we do about this? I reported him and the number to a local Houston, Tx news station and I am waiting to hear something back. Ohh by the way, when he called my father he asked for Mr. Richardson.. he never actually wanted me... my father just thought automatically it was for me, so basically he wanted anyone with that last name at that residence. BEWARE OF THE JOKER! He kept changing his name from Mel clark to Dan Clark..

I would have recorded the phone conversation and then contact the local police department.

"Mel Clark" Called my office extension looking for an employee, after refusing to give him any info because he would not tell me where he was calling from he became very irritated.  Wouldn't let me finish asking questions and just kept repeating himself that he was an investegator and needed to know if I knew this person.  I took a message and wrote down the number from my caller ID.  I thought something was fishy so i looked up the # and found all this.  I showed the employee and told him he should probably contact the police.
