And their client is wanting to press charges on me. He told me to call him back by 5pm today but even if i would have he called me at least 5 times again. - Kenneth| 14 repliesA Lisa Smith helped me with this debt. I knew i had it with Aaron's account that i kept the furniture on. I did try contact them but they started that they could not help me. So when i received the call from her "was how can you help me"? She stated that she was calling to get my statement on file...long story short i owed them $1876.89 i settled for $687.13 i received my email the same day stating that i paid in full...i contacted Aaron's just to make sure they told me that i was finally clear been owing since 2012. Thanks Ms. Smith for your kindness. She is very polite.

- MJG replies to Kenneth| 4 repliesWOW!!!!! Now you can give us the company's information - you know - address, website, contact information, etc. We anxiously await your reply! BTW - emails are notification of NOTHING!
- Tamianth replies to MJG| 2 repliesI think he did almost name it right MJG.. under caller id Fakoure Mediation .. how original! ROFL..
- MJG replies to Tamianth| 1 replyAnd Ms. Smith was so helpful too. She must work for umpteen companies. Her name keeps popping up allover 800notes!
- MidNYteStorm replies to Kenneth| 7 repliesSo you used an account belonging to somebody named Aaron and didn't pay? I am guessing his credit is ruined now because you had to use his account for your furniture. You need to stop using the accounts of others and establish your own line of credit and keep up with those payments. You would be amazed at how good it feels to be financially responsible.
Nice try with that story. I am not buying for one nanosecond. - MidNYteStorm replies to MJGPoor innocent Aaron. My heart goes out to that dude.
- Tamianth replies to MJGIsn't that amazing MJG! She certainly gets around! Must have a jet to fly all over the world in!
- Kenneth replies to MidNYteStorm| 6 repliesExcuse me but i don't think you read correctly.
I said i had a account with Aaron's furniture..please read before you respond.
I am very glad to have taken care of this matter...
Once again please read before you respond - Resident47 replies to Kenneth| 3 repliesTry reading this correctly ....
FTC alert: "Fake Debt Collectors"
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors
No one should be paying strangers on the phone who lay claim to some unverified debt, no matter what you Satisfied Victim shills say.
Aaron's is merely a predatory lender which happens to operate furnishing showrooms. While known to try, they cannot legally whistle up police to help them collect old bills, as the items being financed are for "personal, family, or household purposes", therefore covered by the FDCPA as consumer debt. Threats by collectors along those lines are illegal and give consumers cause to sue for relief. Once again, please check yourself before you mislead. - BigA replies to KennethOk, well first you didn't name the collection company and their address now did you? Why is that? Certainly not because it is personal information unless you work there.
Now Aaron's is a rent to own operation. In cases such as that, the title to the property remains with Aaron's until it is paid off. As such, not paying the rental fee, and not returning the items would be considered a criminal offense (the not returning the items part). So you signed a contract, kept the furniture, and then decided to stiff Aaron's for the money? So then you claim that this magnanimous debt collector called you after Aaron's refused to take your money? And this wonderful debt collector then settled for roughly 37% of the bill? But Aaron's wouldn't even accept the full amount?
Now what statement would she need to get on file? Did she say she was going to arrest you? Is she a law enforcement officer? You do know that e mail is not a legal way of communicating in a debt related matter right?
It is also interesting that the company name you wrote has a thread at another web site with a complaint: http://www.callhunter.com/tags/fakouri-mediation
But at least the name is appropriate, fake meditations. - MidNYteStorm replies to Resident47| 1 replyI love the response I received. It really had me laughing.
- CWG40 replies to KennethLisa Smith strikes again. Doesn't sound like the Lisa Smith we all know and dislike.
- Quark replies to KennethIt sure sounded like you used another persons account to get some furniture to me.
- Wa50 replies to MidNYteStormI knew that you knew, before you read the whole shill post that it was painfully obvious that it was bs, thanks to----iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii- i yi yi!
- Charla| 1 replyPam Hill called stating she is from Pre Trial mediations and wanted me to verify an address she rattled off. She stated there is a warrant out for my arrest but wouldn't give name of source. She stated what's so hard about remembering I didn't pay a bill. Needless to say she listened to the dial tone really quick.
