So sick of these calls.  I owe NO ONE!

Shirley Carmichael claims she is a" Private Investigator and bank acct and ss# are involved in financial transaction, call back immediately and govern yourself accordingly"  this is total BS, first of all I don't have a bank account, haven't in years, and just got my credit report yesterday, nothing on there either, any and all old stuff is off (finally!) I am going to call her back just to mess with her!! LOL

I got off of work and had a strange phone call on my house phone! And had a voicemail saying this lady's name was Shirley Carmichael, and that she was a private investigator and I was going to be getting charges for fraud or something like that and for me to call immediately!  What the heck!  I don't do anything and from what I'm reading from above its a scam

For Extortion Scam Operations,  File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..  Emails can be attached to complaints filed with IC3, the cyber crimes division of the FBI.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

this woman is constantly calling and threatening with legal action.  I have know idea why or who she is.

Got a call from her this morning - she calls me all the time. Do not answer! SCAM!

I het the exact calls and same message. It's a scam... If you block  numbers they call from a new one. Just ignore the voicemails and block every number.

I received this call as well as many others. This call was from Shirley Carmichael and she said, the same thing she has said to everyone else. I'm really tired of thi scam. I wish someone would stop them.

This idiot just called my house saying she's a private investigator and told me that I had a case downloading against me? downloading seriously ?what kind of idiot says they have a case downloading against me? Gonna do what I can to trace this jerk!! She said govern yourself accordingly!!! what an idiot!!! smdh I will post more information as I dig for it!!!

I received two calls, let them go to VM. I reported all information to the Florida AG's office consumer protection department. DO NOT Answer these calls. These people are scam artists and are using burner phones or use sometype of software that makes the number on your caller ID look likes its a US number when it is actually coming from another country.  As I said. Do not answer these calls or any call from a number you don't recognize.  Report any information and the number the call came in on to your state AG office. Do not return or acknowlege the call in anyway.  You have nothing to be afraid of, they can not do anything to you, all they are trying to do is to get you to wire them money or get an authorization from you to tap your bank account.  If you don't answer they can't do anything and eventually they will stop calling once they know you are not going to respond.  Again, send all information to your state AG and ignore them.

Got the same called. This time her name is Shirley Michael , before her name was Julie Hyman. I recognized her voice, same caller different name every time. Saying my name a social is under investigation, BS! SCAMMER...I wish you go to JAIL!!!!!!

Have been recieving multipl calls for weeks. I have never answered because they are not from my area code. The voice mails are the same as the other comments on here. Same person, same number, same speech!.
I realize this is some sort of scam but would like to know if anyone has took action against this?
I have contacted my attorney and have an appointment. This needs to stop and there needs to be consequences and retribution for the victims.

They say there are allegations but dont say what they are.
They say you, your bank account and social security number are under investigation and want you to contact them or the
ir associates but never say what the allegations are or who the associates are.
This is just like the scam calls that were supposedly coming out of a washington, Dc area code a few months back. They claimed there was a warrant for your arrest and if you didn't respond in thirty minutes your local authorities would be notified and they  would come arrest you.
I have set up an appointment with my attorney and not only will he be contacting my Attorney General, but we will be seeking retribution and damages from this person/ people to the fullest extent of the law.

I've received these calls from Shirley Carmichael for the past 4-5 days.  She leaves these obscene recorded messages on my phone threatening to down load myfIle to my city for further  litigation if i don't respond. When i call back,  noone answers.  I have filed a complaint with the Missouri attorney general.  Waiting for a response.  These people need to stop the harassment.  It's very annoying.

I keep getting the same phone call too. Saying the same thing over and over get two calls a day.

I have received the same call everyday.  First it was Shirley Carmichael, today it was Alex Bishop.  They never leave the name of the company, only that my name and social security number are involved and they are going to take legal action.  Seriously....
