That is what was found on my Online Banking!! I am in WA state. I called the bank if they could tell me where this charge origianted from and they he said "Forth Worth, TX" - that is not a type-o. I asked if her meant "FORT WORTH" and he said no and spelled it for me.
I hate scammers and faudulant scum. I am canceling the account, disputing the charges and contacting from buddy from Seattle PD in the Major Crimes Unit.

- WO - TennesseeNoticed the $.15 pre-authorization on my checking account on Thursday morning 11-13-08. I called my bank and they immediately suggested canceling my debit card. The entry on my account was GFDL Fort Worth, TX with the 8007640847 phone number. I called the number and got a voice mailbox. I hope someone goes to jail over this!
- RaySaw a 12-cent charge on 11/14 on my debit card that read "GFDL 800-764-0847 TX". It's a scam! I immediately phoned my bank, and they said it was listed as an "electronics store in Texas". My bank cancelled my debit card and asked me to file a police report! I recommend you check your bank statements online immediately and don't ignore small charges like this.
- NBA new wrinkle - $0.11 charge on a ShopSafe number previously used at a legit merchant. This is supposed to be impossible - once a ShopSafe number is used by a merchant, no charges are accepted from a different merchant. This is exactly the situation that ShopSafe is supposed to prevent.

$0.16
I called my bank immediately and canceled my card. I don't use a national bank chain so I can't talk to a real person until Monday morning. And I can't pull my money out because I have a limit on how much I can pull out at a time. I still can't figure out how they got my information. I use Paypal when I shop online.

- victim44978321 replies to K. L.| 1 replySame thing here...with my Credit Union account. In reply to person trying to determine any common denominators with us all...I do not shop online, my account is at my credit union and not a bank, I pay my bills online and they are a mortgage and utilities...thats it! Anyway been sent blank checks by WAMU...they opened an account from 10-15 yrs ago on me and sent blank checks and reactivated this as if I wanted. When I called to get this bogus activity stopped, they asked for my personal info? Anyone? It is up to us to figure out so we can feel free to use our cards again without reprisal. Generic info would possibly help us to determine who did this?
- GFDL replies to Reagan| 1 replyGot my account 2 days ago and number is dissconnected and there was a .11 cent charge from TX. The only place I got stuff off line was Amazon and Itunes.
- KM replies to GFDLLucky me I got the same $.13 charge on my debit card also. My bank has no way to report this until Monday, so I made two trips to the automated teller and pulled all the money out of this account.
I don't think they necessarily need to intercept your card number to pull this scam. Its more likely done with a number generating program. Make up a bunch of numbers, submit the small charge over a stolen Point of Sale terminal and see which ones come back as valid. Once they have a bunch of valid numbers they print up the cards and the real fun begins. - bettybombsI had a charge show up on my bank account for 18 cents. I will take a copy these complaints toy bank so they can see what is going on

- MWI, too, had a charge to my Bank of America account. My charge was for $0.17. The bank suggested blocking (cancelling) my current card and issuing another, which I did. I, too, tried calling the 800 number, only to find it was not in service. It wasn't until I searched online did I find out that it's a bank card scam that hit within the past day or two. BOA also made sure I disputed the charge so that it could be investigated. Even though it was only a charge for 17 cents, BOA treated me very well and took the situation very seriously.
