FTC rules require even non-profit groups to maintain in-house do-not-call lists.

After they call, you can then call *57.   It's a call trace program and after 3 calls from them and 3 times that you hit the *57 they will usually stop calling because it goes to the authorities.   Make sure you *57 right after you hang up from the call, or make sure it's the last number on your caller i.d.  You don't want to report a number after that, inadvertently.

I get calls all the time from The Share Group. Depending on which organization they are calling for, they can be very nice or very rude. Here is their web page: http://www.sharegroup.com/index.htm

There are numbers you can call to complain. I did, and spoke to a very understanding rep. Igot my number immediately removed from their lists.

You can call them directly (toll call, unfortunately) and ask them to take your number off of their 'call list'.  Legally, they are bound to do so if you request it.

They have been calling my house as well, and asking to speak with my 12 year old daughter/  When I ask who is calling, they refust to tell me, and proceed to hang up on me after I repeatedly ask them what the call is regarding.

I traced the number through AT&T, who gave me the headquarters phone number.

*57 is also an option.  It costs $1.00.

Usually i hate these calls but i recently got one from Curry Culpepper. I now long for them!
