I have been receiving at least 4-5 calls per day every day for the past two weeks.  I screen all my calls and do not answer the call if I don't recognize the number.  They never leave a message but are very persistent.  I have been on the "Do Not Call" list for two years--is this number exempt from that list?

This group calls every day several times a day at all hours. Sometimes the phone rings twice and they disconnect. Sometimes it rings 4 or 5 times but they always hang up before it goes into voice mail. I don't know how to make them quit. This has been going on for several months. I am already on the do not call list. I don't know if it gives me immunity from this organization or not, but I would like them to stop calling me.

All of us know how frustrating this is and most of us have called them back repeatedly to take our number off their calling list - to no avail.
I just got 2 calls in a row and googled the number and in return - here I am. I filed a complaint with the FCC per the advice of other callers on this site. I just did it over the internet and they provided me with an actual complaint confirmation number and an actual telephone number to follow up on the status of the complaint. I am going to allow a week to pass and then call the FCC for an update. I tried calling the home office of the Share Group and get the run around or voicemail is full message.
Please go to the FCC link from a previous poster and fill out the form online. All of the Share Group's headquarters and other telephone numbers are provided on previous posts, too. I gave the FCC everything I could.
This just confirms that we have to give out way too much information that ends up into the hands of the wrong people. I'm now going to research the organizations that I donate to before I write another check. It's sad that it comes to this. Thanks for letting me vent. I just received another call!. However, the caller from the Share Group asked for me and my partner's name specifically. I questioned who was this donation requested by and she said the HRC. I have sent them a direct email. In my case it was the HRC. I'm sure there are other organizations that they serve or attend to. I have donated to the HRC, so, that is why I received the call. The very first thing she said when I asked her to stop calling and remove me from their list of callers....we're exempt from the do not call list. How pathetic. Anyway....still waiting to hear back from HRC and the FCC. Hope this helps some of you. If you have donated to the HRC and want to voice your concern, their website is www.hrc.org
I'm all for helping a worthy cause, especially, this one. However, how much money is actually going to them if they hire a company like this one to collect. I know I receive emails from them all of the time, that is free. I receive mailings with address labels that are a lot more effective than the SHARE GROUP. I have to think twice before I donate again. I hate to say it, but, unless they can reply with some kind of apology or explanation, I won't support their organization anymore. I'll find another deserving charity that is a lot more responsible.
Sorry to go on and on, but, it upsets me to think donations are being spent to hire this company. Thanks for allowing me to vent. Peace!

I never answer to this number and they have never spoken to our answering machine before today. Today a man's voice said "yes, may I speak to Mr. or Mrs. Smith" - The calls come on a daily basis and we are supposedly on a Do Not Call list.

I just got a call from them for my husband.  They said they "didn't want to bother me with a message."  Really?!?  They want to call, have me answer the phone, and want to do it again in hopes that one day, my husband might answer the phone?!?  I mentioned we were on the do not call list.  They started talking when I said I was going to block their number.  Then, they said they'd just mail the information.

Receive unsolicited calls from them daily

We have been getting about 9 calls each week from this number.  With information from this website I was able to find out The Share Group's contact number.  I called them at 617-629-4500 and then entered extension 4535 for one of the call centers.  Got a nice guy who took my number, used it to find out which not-for-profit was having them call me (WTTW public tv), and promised to block all further calls.  He explained that they are computer-generated calls, which is why they supposedly can't control the number of them.  The Share Group isn't a not-for-profit group, but they make "fundraising calls" on behalf of not-for-profits who apparently hire them to annoy the heck out of all of us.

I spoke Spanish to them. Kept asking for me.. I kept speaking Spanish.
He said that he must have the wrong number and hung up.

Just be aware that it costs $1 each time you dial *57.

They call constantly

My husband answered and they asked for me by name.  I was in the basement so he said, "May I tell her who is calling?" Caller said in a haughty tone, "I can tell Andie," and refused to say more.

Just got my first call from 1-800-956-0076 today, although for all I know, they were trying this past week while I was on vacation.  I said "Hello?" twice and then just hung up.

I just received a call from The Share Group--it was a recording stating that they were calling on behalf of a non-profit organization I have supported in the past.  The recording then advised me to call 1-800-956-0076.  I called that number and got another recording.
Is it legal for a company to call without identifying on whose behalf they're calling?
In any case, I've filed complaints with both the FCC as well as my state's attorney general's office for violation of both do-not-call registries.

They call most times its a computer telling you to hold while your caller is on another call. I just hang up this is day and night. they have called so much they do not even wait for answering machine this is 7 days a week

800-956-0076 keeps calling.  They will not stop.  If I don't answer they just call back.  I am on the do not call list.  What should I do?
