- Rude idiots calling!!!| 1 replyThey called threatening me with a court summons--wouldn't tell me the company address unless I gave them my personal info. When I said no, the guy (said his name was Kyle Douglas) started yelling at me, calling me combative and rude. Said he didn't have to tell me anything about the company unless I provided him with my current address so he could mail it certified to me. When I told him I was going to report him to the Attorney General's office, he called me all sorts of names, told me I was stupid if I thought I knew the law. He ended up hanging up on me after saying he would see my ass in jail. Here's the rub..the address he had for me was from 9 years ago...and in a completely different state!!
The girl that called and left the message to call back, her name is Maribelle. the call comes through as Private Number and they leave the 844 number to call back on. She said the company is RCG, he said it's the Richard Carlson Group (law).
I tried searching several different places on the Net and several different names, and nothing comes up for Richard Carlson Group as lawyer or RCG. These people are rude idiots, please report them if they call you!!!!!!!!- Caller: RCG or Richard Carlson Group (law)

- NOT FALLING FOR IT!| 2 repliesI just received a call from this number. The young lady's name was Nicky White. She told me that there were two uniformed officers ready to come to my house between 2-4 to serve a summons for court. She asked if anyone would be there to "sign" for it. I told her no. First of all the address she gave me was old (6 years old). I never verified if were the correct address or not. I told her I wasn't me so she kept talking. First give a way was that if the court is serving a summons on you in my state/city is that they don't call & tell you; secondly, if a service is being used, they don't call eiher; thirdly, they wouldn't continue to discuss my private business with anyone else. She gave me the 844 number which I don't intend to call. She gave me the attorney's name as Richard Carlson Law. I goggled & googled but found nothing as she told me he was an attorney in my city - NOT! She wasn't rude but was quite willing to give out information. I will be calling my City Attorney's Office to file a complaint. Funny, I don't usually answer restricted numbers but for some reason I did today...oh and lastly, I work in the law enforcement field & know the procedures of serving court sommons' & NEVER EVER DO THEY CALL & TELL YOU OR ASK IF SOMEONE WOULD BE THERE TO SIGN FOR IT!!! REALLY - THEY ARE VERY STUPID!!

- GFL replies to NOT FALLING FOR IT!I just got this call too, saying that documentation is being sent to the county clerks office. I'm really confused, but I suppose it is easy ti find people via propeerty sale records, as they contact me as "{MyName} owner of {MyAddress}". They left a message, but if anyone learns what this is please reply, it's a little awkward.
- AuniaThis company called my ex husband asking to serve me papers at his parents house. Funny thing is I don't talk to them... Private number when calling and the 8442067800 left in a message. Scam alert

- Leesame deal as everyone else they told me they were Berks & Lewis Litigation 427 E. 17th St. #7-451 Costa Mesa, CA 92627 with a phone number of 855-336-5141 but they also gave me a number for Arizona 602-730-0128 but the address they had listed for me to send me something in the mail was from like 2 years ago..I've moved 3 times since then. they said they were fixing to serve me with papers at my job by two officers of the law if I didn't pay 125.00. The bill they were talking about was one I DO have but they have never had the address I have now nor the phone number I have now. they said I either pay 125 of they will serve me with papers at work by 5 pm and garnish 25% of my check every payday. or I could pay 125 a month. I did the 125 a month but when she gave me the confirmation number for the transaction and verified that my address was still in chandler Arizona, I knew something was not legit. I pulled all the money off my card, called and had it canceled and they are issuing me a new card. Once it posts to my card I can dispute it. and hopefully get my money back in 2 weeks.

- joe| 1 replyThis 844# called my place of business. My boss handed me the note and said it was important that i call them right away. So i did. Kyle Douglas saying he was a attorney, said i was being sued and that a summons was being issued as we speak.
It was for $4000.00. He said if i make arrangements to pay this off he could reduce it to $1200.00. I only had 150.00 so i paid that. After doing a little more research, i had to cancel my card. He seems to have an awful lot of personal info. He said this one item was messing up my credit and if i pay it he will take care of my credit problems. Yeah. Right. Should have known better.- Caller: RCG
- MJG replies to joeContact your state attorney general's office.
You are not warned if a summons is coming (is he really a lawyer - illegal to claim if you are not). It is also illegal to discuss this with a third party (boss). - CUSHThese people call from a restricted number and pretty much say what everyone else has said that i need to call back immediately and if not then they will file w/ the clerk's office. They had my home mailing address and contacted me on my cell phone regarding a family member. I called back and they were rude, didn't say who they were with and couldn't/wouldn't provide any information to me w/out a file number. I called back again to 682-207-8286 and asked what company this was and they told me it was The Law office of Richard Carslon. They wanted to know why I was calling and i told them that since they did some research on me that i was going to do some research on them! Come to find out they said it had to do w/ Chase bank. A call was placed to Chase and they stated that don't handle collections like this. So i googled, "Chase Bank sells collections to Richard Carlson Attorney," and found this. These people are disgusting crooks preying on elderly people. Thankfully, we did our homework before any money was paid.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
