Call no one and pay no attention to the threats, or messages. Set up cells to block private, unknown calls, landlines, shut down the answering machine and ignore the calls, or try blocking the number. No answering device, NOTHING at all and threats cannot be made.

I hope all is well by God's grace. My name is Sabiny Pierrevil and my phone number 3056008036. I am a Master Student at Barry University. I keep getting calls from several companies and they actually made me pay money out of panic. I am filling for a complaint for they keep getting money out of me reporting that I owed money to their client and refused to explain further For instance,
a woman by the name of Kelly called me and reported that I had taken a private loan online and along with public transportation in 2012. They spoke with an heavy accent. They said that I had taken the loan for $ 500 along with something about public transportation. They did not want to provide me with further explanation. They were so frustrated that they had threatened me by reporting to send my claim number which was 1043903 to their legal department where I could get prosecuted. I ended up paying $ 100 today but they have my bank account to get $ 500 on September 4th, 2015 from my account. Last month, a company with a number resembled that one by the name of Intel with agent Gordon Heel claiming that I had many claims against me for $ 500 and threatened to get a police to my job or my house. The man even flirted me on the phone by claiming that I sounded sexy. I ended up paying off $ 500 for a debt on which I had no recollection. I believe that those people are ruining me.This later like the former used a 1800 number to call me then a 855 one then 7204466809. Please help for those people claiming to represent companies are ruining me financially. Have a blessed day , Moreover, Have been getting calls from this number, answer, its a recording " this message is intended for (me) if you are not me, hang up, if you are press 0 to speak with a rep. Waste no time in contacting your bank, explaining to them what happened, and disputing charges, along with changing account numbers. While you're at it, report them to the Federal Trade commission and possibly the BBB. It's likely they're located overseas so filing a police report may do no good. That's what they're hoping to do, threatening you sends you into a tailspin and without thinking, you give out money as well as your financial details.
Threatening you is dead giveaway they're fake along with providing you with no details on their company and a vague description on three year old "debt". They can't because they're frauds. DEMAND proof such a debt exists in the mail, not a random phone call before doing ANYTHING. Just because somebody on the phone is saying you have an unpaid debt does not mean it exists. ANYONE who answers these calls will "owe" something, not just you.
Very unfortunate and sorry you were cheated but your bank may be able to reverse the charges as well as preventing more from occurring. Good luck to you. Search around on here for posts from Alfalfa, CWG, Tamianth, Wolfman, to name a few. They've got plenty of advice on how to handle it.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

I got a phone call from 603-236-7142 today and they left a voicemail saying someone was going to come after me at work and or at home.  The return number they wanted me to call which was supposedly for their legal dept. was 844-256-6385.  My wife called it and they said it was about a loan I took out in 2011.  The only problem is, I didn't take out a loan in 2011.  The woman who left the original message sounded like she had a heavy Indian accent and I couldn't understand everything she said.  My wife thinks its real, but I do not think so because real lawyers or collection agencies do not call and threaten you over the phone, they call and ask you to call them if they have to leave a message.  I am so sick of this crap.... I am thinking of reporting both the 800 number and the New Hampshire number to the real authorities.

Total debt collection scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan. Indian accent should be a dead giveaway that this is a scam.  DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING.

Overseas debt collections scams.   Not much anyone can do about the calls being initiated.

But--a call blocker might be of some help.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd.  Or where there is no caller ID.

Many of these scammers tend to pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community.  They are basically looking for someone who seems vulnerable.  DO NOT RETURN THE CALLS!

    Report them:  http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Stop paying them!  They are debt scammers.  Most likely overseas.   Strong Indian accent is a dead giveaway of a scam.  Pay attention to JustinCase and Taminath's notes.  Being in ordinary civil debt is NOT A CRIME.  AND YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED FOR IT.  WE DO NOT HAVE DEBTORS PRISONS IN THE US.

I repeat, STOP PAYING these people!  That Intell group you mentioned are well-known debt scammers who rely on threats.

You are letting people who you do not know, simply scare you into paying them something.  STOP IT.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

    If they are bothering you,

    Report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection  (Threatening criminal prosecution to collect a civil debt is a clear violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Act)

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them.

Stop paying them and stop being a victim.
