About credit fees and lawsuit.  Name was Jim that answered

As it was an unfamiliar #, I did not answer.  Caller left VM that was not completely recorded.  What I did hear was, "get arrested at your home or in your workplace", then caller left # to call, then "see you in the courthouse."

caller told me I would get arrested at home or workplace left a number to call and said see you in court.

1-844-304-8135 Left message saying that I'll be arrested at home see you in court.

Got the same message as above. "You have committed a crime and will be arrested at your physical address or work place. Call me for more legal information. See you in court"

Same message case against you. Will be arrested at home or work. See you in court.

Same message as previous four contributors: "A legal case has been filed against you. You will be arrested at your home or place of work. See you in court." Received at EXACTLY 6 a.m.--went to voice mail.

I did not answer the # because it was not familiar. The message stated there was a legal proceeding against me and that I would be arrested at my home or my workplace.

I got the same phone call at EXACTLY 6 a.m. this morning. The call went to voicemail because I was in bed. I will be hoping there is something one can do proactively to get these scammers, other than just ignoring them!

I got the same message I called back..and could hardly understand him sounds like heavy African accent I said hello who's this what's ur name and where's ur office they hung up I called back and they won't answer now lol

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Called me before I even woke up to go to work, left a scary message that I was also getting arrested.  Well, if everyone else got the same message than this must not be a big deal.

Left a message on my daughters cell saying they where going to come to my house and arrest her and they would see you in court

This is a gang of white collar criminals who go around basically committing  extortion.  I called the number and got the same slightly annoyed harsh robo answer you get on all their calls. I'm sure it's the same person on the robo.    No one IDs this place and they don't ID themselves.    No one yet has any idea where this gang is located.   Best not to call them back.  Block their calls.   I think they are associated with a firm that has an actual address, but I haven't found it yet.  Still working on it.

If they call you again, tell them that you know it's  a scam and that you'll be making a complaint of extortion with your local police.

After reading this I wish I would have answered,would have said,"you're coming to arrest me?,great it gets cold in that tent at night and I hate digging through garbage cans for my dinner,three hots and a cot is just what I need,maybe I can get my teeth fixed and that sex change operation I been wanting for awhile now a$$hole,oops,swearing on the phone is a crime too,just tack on the charges meatstick,so what time you coming for me?,I can hardly wait"
Truth is I don't answer calls I don't recognize,just hope they don't scare the old or feeble into sending them anything.
