I got a call saying  I owed on a cash advance. Said I owed 2485.00. And if I didn't pay 850.00 right now I would be arrested. I called the cash advance place that I had over a year ago. And they told me I was paid in full so I decided to on look up attorney general sam  wilson and found all this scam stuff. It about gave me a heart attack. He said his name was Kim Rollins and if I didn't call him immediately I would be arrested. Sound like a money scam to me. Someone should stop the harrassment of these people or I'll report it to the real police. Scammers and Harrassment. No good.

The real police will tell you it is a scam.  Threatening arrest will not happen - and it is illegal to do so.

This call came in with a number of 911. the man said he was officer Kevin Wilson- I guess Sam Wilson is his brother? This man stated he was from the Illinois state police and that he had a warrant for my arrest and if I did call 850 723 2385 in 20 minutes I would be arrested.. Then he hung up.. this is the second call the first one was from officer Ramon Garcia and he stated if I didn't call my life as I knew it would be over and that he would pray for my soul. REALLY?  I know the law and the police don't call to tell you they are going to arrest you. Also..the number is a Florida number so why would a person in Florida be a Illinois police officer calling to arrest me.. STOP CALLING and GET A LIFE

Got a call from officer Kevin Williams re: lawsuit and arrest warrant if I didn't call attorney general Wilson, at 850 725 2385. He sounded like a Pakistani. My attorney advised me to ignore the call.

"Sam Wilson, Attorney General" also called my client saying he would be arrested tomorrow based on a loan he paid in full.  When I called him to talk to him, he hung up on me after asking my client's name.  When I called back he wouldn't answer.  He should be arrested.

I got a call saying his name is"Tony Dan Wilson" and he has a warrant for my arrest if I do not comply with the payment in full.  I asked for the company name and address and he hung up on me.  I usually get in touch with the Better Business Bureau for more information or just call the police.

Called for the previous owner of my phone number, left a message claiming to be with the Missouri Area State Police. Caller ID said Emergency Number 911, but directed me (previous holder of the number, actually) to call this number or face arrest.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

    Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
    (202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

Got this same call today from an SOS Emergency Call on cell phone. I let the call go to voicemail because who would be calling me from 911??
The ancient was a man that had a Indian accent claiming to be Sam Wilson from the state of Florida & if I didn't return the call within 30 minutes I would be arrested.
I'm glad I looked this up before getting upset & getting my nerves all rattled.
Too many of these scams are going on & preying on people because people don't want to go to jail. Bottomline:
    DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY
    THIS IS A SCAM

You have a better chance of drawing a 'go to jail go directly to jail' card as you pass 'Reading Railroad' (hope you own it or you'll have to pay rent!) It's a scam & sadly a large one. You were called by criminals, either foreign or domestic, trying to extort money from you. As always - tell your caller to put 'whatever it is' in writing & mail it to you by US Mail. Not fax, text, or email. US Mail.

I got the same phone call on Friday but since the message did not say my name I really didn't worry about it.  No one showed up to arrest me so I figured it was a scam.  He just called again leaving me the same message and I looked up the number and got this site.  His phone number came up as private and 911 below that.  This is ridiculous and the people who are doing this should be prosecuted!  I know that the police do not call you up and tell you they are going to arrest you but for a brief moment it is a little scary.  I know however, that I have done nothing wrong so I haven't gotten upset.  Just totally annoyed.
