http://www.cashnetusa.com/consumer-notices - Susan T| 2 repliesJust had a call at work from this guy saying he was going to summons me and needed to speak to my supervisor about a summons and wanted to know if I could be summoned at work. My supervisor said no, so then he gave her the number 855-252-8503 and said to ask for Justin Lima. I called and secretary did not put me on hold, I heard whispering. Then the guy came on the phone and said there was no Justin Lima and his name was Michael Miranda. I told him I was recording the call for my protection. He said OK. He kept telling me the case was sealed and he had no info just wanted to serve me. I told him that this sounded really shady. Is this a scam? He said I could call back later and speak to guy that is going to serve me. I said whats his name. He said Michael Miranda. I said wait, aren't you Michael Miranda? He said no, then yes, then he said I am calling with no info and I am unprepared. I said and you don't even know your name? He then told me I needed a two person consent to record calls and I said too bad, lets go to court. He hung up on me. I then called back a little while later and pretended I was a atty. I asked for Justin, they said there is no Justin. I then asked for Michael Miranda, they put me on the phone and some women name Linda came to the phone. She said you are calling from the same number as Susan, I said yes, I work here this is a legal company. She said hold on and hung up on me lol.
- Caller: Legal Support Systems
- Ang| 2 repliesthey called me three times today saying that they have serious court papers to serve me, they even had my home address. I did my research and just found this thread. Justin Lima was the name provided to me. I told him off and said I would call the BBB if he kept calling me. This is very disturbing.

- Susan T replies to Ang| 1 replyI say we all call them back today multiple times and mess with them. Say we are attorneys or that we know they are scamming us. Lets bother them the way they bother us!
- RonGot the same message in my answering machine. It is a scam. Do yourself a favor and don't call them back.
- ang replies to Susan T| 1 replythey said the same thing to me! he even had my address and I just looked on my credit report and my credit was ran about a week ago by the Miranda and Mason Group out of Buena Park California. Im afraid now that my identity is at risk now that they pretty much have all my info. i urge anyone who had this happen to them to check their credit report and file a complaint.
- Ang replies to Susan TActually a friend of mine called them over 150 times today and harassed them LOL
- ruth replies to LeslieI got one and called it back later and the number Belo aged to Nathaniel and Miriam. Not even a company.

- CJSo is this a scam? Mike Miranda seemed to have info on me, but apparently didn't know where I lived. I received a call from a woman. She wanted to know if I'd be home the on Tuesday...so she could drop off some legal papers to me. I said sure..come after 2. She replied " We stop deliveries at 12!", and continued to say " you'll have to call 855-252-8507 to reschedule! (8503 & 8507 go to the same place FYI) (I tried both) I looked up Mason and Miranda Group LLC..on the web, but their # is completely different! (Recently applied for a car loan...I believe this is where they got my #)
- Call type: Debt collector
- CJ replies to angHave you found out any more on your post? I'm dealing with the same thing. The debt they're trying to collect, shows up as closed on my report. (with a balance of zero) Please read my post from Dec 16.
Thank you
CJ - CJ replies to TamianthHas any information been found on this number? Do we know if they are scamming? I'm trying my damnedest to figure it out!
- pattiegot a call yesterday from a woman wanting to serve my husband papers. He would not be home so said to call 8552528513 to see if i could sign. when I called they said my husband owed a credit card for $8000. Said they sent us something 6 weeks ago saying they would settle for half (never got anything) but that they would now take 2300 if i paid in feb. they said they alread had a court order to start garnishing his wages in two days (his work has no such papers) As soon as I asked for any proof that this was not a scam, the man started yelling at me and telling me he didnt have time to argue with me. i asked why he was getting so upset when all he had to do was give me his licence number or something so I could protect myself. He just got more and more rude. so I hung up. As I am writing this, they called again. Before the lady could get rude, I asked her again what the company name was, she said mmg (mason and miranda group) located in los angeles (numbers go to orange ca). I said I was just checking to make sure I Had given the right info to my lawyer, she said ok and hung up on me. She did have my husbands name and address so people might be fooled into thinking this is real. If you Google the address they gave me, there are no records of any company or names they gave as being listed there. Watch out for these scammers.
