Called and left a voice mail stating that they received two complaints in their office, and would be issuing two felony warrants for my arrest with my county law enforcement. It's a scam, as I have no outstanding debt that is not being paid nor any criminal past.

Called and left a voice mail from Michelle Stevens from Legal One Inc., stating that they received two complaints in their office, and would be issuing two felony warrants for my sister-in-laws arrest with her county law enforcement. Stated they will go to her home and place of employment to detain her. The also called my other sister-in-law looking for the same person. It's a scam!!!

I received a call from a Shannon Rutledge from legal one that two felonies will be filed with my county law enforcement. That they will be at place on employment or residence unless I call them back. I'm not employed, so stop calling me. You can't even get my name correct.

Received a call from Sheyna Rutledge at LEgal one Inc. stating that they had received a  two part felony complaint by fax in their office. The sheriff of my county would accompany them to my residence or place of employment for my detainment. I have NO idea what they are talking about and I am very frightened.

You can not be arrested for owing debt! Debt is a civil matter, not criminal.  This is a common scare tactic used and abused by DC's and Extortion Scam Operations both.  I have not been able to locate anything under Legal One Inc and I also tried Legal 1 in search.  Knowing your legal rights under the FDCPA laws is half the battle, knowledge is power.  Don't allow them to scare you with this. Call your local Sheriff and report the threats and extortion attempts..

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

I received a phone call from this number stating that g they he two felony warrants against me for what,  I don't even know.

I received a call from 1-866-306-0148 reporting that I had 2 felonies against me, and that I had to call 404-410-1105, Northern Abrituary Group. This is a scam, and I contacted my local Sheriff Deaprtment, and the detctives will be reaching out to them. They said that I had commited Wire Fraud, and if you know for a fact that you have not done such a thing, you should report it immediately. I spoke with Heather Miller. Anytime that they can not provide you with who, what, why & when, and they give you a number to call, you should hang up or report it.

i have lost my job due to all of this bs i have talked to valary, michelle, and also heather at this number this is a scam they may seam professional but wen they put u on hold to grab your paper work answer a question then have to grab it again then disconnecting when you ask information they already offered to give u

My husband got the same call sayin they had to warrants for him out of another state for defrauding a estate. I think it is a scam but he is worried about it cause his dad had a estate deal 2 yrs ago. It was from Melissa i think

I recieved a call from this number as well and they said the same thing. Legal One INC. No such company.They were filing 2 felony charges against me until I told the women go ahead your a scam. She stated how about you talk to the individual who is going to file them. I told her what you are doing is illegal and I checked on it. She was told again your a scam do not call me or my job or there will be an issue. She hung up. Typical scam trying to put fear and using extortion practices to do so. Owing no debts and knowing the Federal Law regarding debts helps. The other number they are using is 866-275-7874.
