They are saying they are trying to locate me and if this number is not me then I need to call back to say the same or if they know where I am. If no response is given back then they can call the references on hand as per law.  Similar calls from the following number: 877-319-5379

Same company that called using this number 1-877-310-6091yesterday. I called them back to tell them don't call my house anymore and the woman said "it doesn't work this way". I told her F**k off! Nothing but a bunch of scammers. So I guess they'll keep changing the number.

I called them back.  They placed a harassing call to a family member using illegal scare tactic.  They hung up on me as soon as I mentioned lawsuit.  It is illegal what they are doing.  Know your rights. They are a job nk debt buyer and try to collect on old debt usually past statute of limitations using illegal scare tactics.

BRG Collections LLC. Junk debt collectors or "bottom feeders" as they are commonly referred to, trying to use various intimidation factors in getting you to pay debt that you supposedly owe but they have no legal footing for actually suing you. They have an F rating with the BBB Better Business Bureau. Tell them to cease and desist immediately or you can sue them under federal law.

    https://complaintwire.org/complaints/debt-collectors

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
