Received a call indicating I had a returned  check and Anna Jones was calling to collect ha we pay all bills online  what a scam

Left a message at my mother who I haven't  live with in 23 yrs. Plus lives in another state  and we both have moved to different location. Why call my mom, he left a message saying who he was  Bryan Cassidy.  If he did hear from me, he would send notice to court to arrest me.

I received a call from an O'Brian Cassidy. He also called me work and my brother's cell phone number (which is extremely odd, especially since I don't even know my brother's cell phone). I called back. The rep claimed they were calling from Global Solutions and that they were trying to collect a 6 year old debt. I explained to them that I knew it was a scam, and that even if the debt was valid at some point, which it wasn't, the statute of limitations had already expired since it was 6 years old. (I guess they didn't realize I was a lawyer and new the SOL in my state.) DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING.

They can be sued for the details of what they are leaving in the voicemails. File a complaint with the FTC, BBB, and your State's Attorney General's office. Also received a call from 8322633532, they are the same people.

Received the same message regarding returned item from my bank and they will report me to check systems, etc.

just had 2 vm left stating i bounced a check and thry left me a case # i called and the lady started to talk i cut her off saying i dont bounce checks dont even have any and this is a scam she stated why did you call the number then i told her so i can get your name so i can give it to my Atty. with your phone number.  she sd well see what happens when you dont pay!!! total scam

I've received 4 calls from a local, for me, number.  I accidentally picked it up and they give me this 877 number and a case number that I'm supposed to give my son who lives in another state.

Same as with Sandra above; the number showed in Caller ID as a 'local' number. I have been getting calls from these 'Global Solutions' people several times a day for the past week and they are asking for my EX who has never lived at this location or has ever been associated with my telephone number! Oddly, the calls all give out this 877-929-8645 number to call back, BUT in each call (they left messages on the machine each time they called), the supposed 'Case ID Number' was different. Blocked the number.

Overseas scammers.  Can't make out the accent, but they could be somewhere in the Caribbean.  Say they are in Miami but say that "they have locations in 48 states."  Obviously know nothing about the US political system.  Ignore them and block their calls.

Yeah they said I had a payday from 2011 funny I was unemployed living in a different state then what they said. First time I called the lady hung up on me so I called again and got hung up on third time no answer

I received a vm on my cell regarding a "returned item from the bank."  Funny thing is, they asked for my deceased husbands ex-wife!  If I didn't call back, they "would be forced to take action that wasn't in my favor."  What the???
The number showed up as a local call, but the vm gave me 877-929-8645 to call back.  I tried to call both numbers to see who it was and to ask why the heck they're calling me.  Got a recording for both numbers..both the same recording.  Anna Jones ~ sure didn't sound like an Anna Jones!  Definitely foreign, I couldn't understand half her message.

called pretending my daughter owes something, but would not disclose what, to whom, or amount. Wanted her phone number. This is not the first time they have called. I'm pretty sick of it. She hung up when I started reading accounts that people have posted.

I received a call from this number today, but the id caller showed as a local number. I didn't pick up. They left a message for my adult son who has not lived in this state for eleven years. They claimed to be with GDF Solutions and left a case number. They left a threatening message that if he does not return the call they will show up on his job or residence. They also said, he has been "officially" notified.  IF IT SOUNDS LIKE A SKAM, SMELLS LIKE A SKAM, LOOKS LIKE A SKAM....IT'S A SKAM!!!!

They called both my father and my mother who i have not lived with for over 25 years on numbers that i don't even use.  Scaring them into thinking i have this horrible outstanding debt.  Both callers had a very heavy accent and the call was very garbled.  They were very threatening, saying how much trouble i was going to be in and that I have been "Officially Served and Notified".  They hung up on my dad when he told them if they wanted to talk to me they would have to find me first! Ha.

Called me too just like KC --- They claimed to be with GDF or GDS Solutions and left a case number. They left a threatening message that if I do not return the call they will show up at my job or residence. They also said, I have been "officially" notified.

Neither phone,fax,email or text is legal proof of anything.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
