Called my cell phone also. No message left.

Called work cell. Credit card scam to lower your rates. Just hung up on them.

I am on the do not call list.  this caller keeps calling my cell phone.  just so you know if you are not on my contact list I DO NOT ANSWER.  SO PLEASE QUIT CALLING MY NUMBER....

I'm on the Do Not Call list. Apparently it doesn't mean much. I get calls from other telemarketers too.

Called my cell. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer. They left no message. I've been on DNC since day 1.....

They call my husbands and my cell phone everyday..we are on the do not call list which is a waste..I can block them on my phone but he can't plus they have several different numbers they use

DNC does not work.  I have filed many complaints against telemarketers and the response is always the same:

Robo call which seems to have disconnected.

Just received call from this number and did not answer since didn't recognize number.  Googled the number and is from Denton, TX.  Left no message.  Am also on the DNC list.

Same complaint.  I am on DNC list what good does that do??  Calling my cell annoying.

The DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said.    They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call records.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Called my cell, which is on the DNC list.  I didn't recognize the #, so I didn't answer.  Left a partial VMX that said to "consider this my last chance to reduce my interest rate" & to "press 1 immediately to speak to a representative", but of course, no CC company/bank was mentioned, etc.  I assumed this was a scam & didn't bother to follow-through.

Overheard a few weeks ago that there is a group of "scam hunting vigilantes" who are tracking down via satellite GPS  and permanently making the fingers and hands of these criminal scammers "inoperable". It would be great if that were true.
