Remote Satellite Inc.

Upon identifying that we were a financial institution the caller apologized, saying they had dialed the wrong number, thanked us and hung up.

I did not answer the call and waited for the answering machine to pick up. When it did the caller disconnected

Called twice within a minute of me telling them I was on the Do not call list and hanging up on them.  Called identified himself as "Justin with HughesNet".  Cripes they couldn't even get the  spelling of the company name right.

Just got a call from these clowns.  Said they were with "remote satellite" and inquired if we had cable or satellite tv and  if we were aware that prices had gone up.  I POLITELY told him that we had cable and were happy with the service, and wanted to be removed from their call list.  He went on to tell me that I should remove my name and  phone number from the phone book if I didn't want their phone calls!  He caught me on a bad night...I let him know in very graphic terms what he could do with his promotion and DEMANDED that he take me off his list and hung up.  What jerks these people are!  And they think tactics like that will make people want to buy their product?!?

I did not answer they let the phone ring about 30 times... most places giver up after 4.

Funny....apparently this company never got the message when they called before and I left a review of them here that time too. They're still calling. Will report them to the DNC AGAIN.....that list is becoming a joke.  

The caller ID just had the phone number 989-799-8031 and Michigan Call. I did not answer and when the answering machine picked up they disconnected.

We are n the "do not call list". Last month we had 77 blocked call on our phone bill record.  I block all the solicitation call and let the phone take care of. Obviously the DNC list doesn't matter.  These jokers keep getting through.

It appears your understanding of the Do Not Call list is ... faulty.  Here is a short summary of the facts, using small words to fit your intellect:

1.  The DNC list is NOT a call blocker!
2.  The DNC list is used by registered, honest telemarketers, to avoid calling people who do not want to be called.
3.  Scammers and spammers do not care ... those criminals call anybody.
4.  The DNC list is NOT a call blocker!  (Just in case you missed reading #1)
5.  Exemptions to the DNC list include: political calls, charities, and other NON-sales calls.
6.  The DNC list actually works as intended!

The DNC list is a farce, it has not helped at all.  Still get calls from medical sales, appliance repair sales, computer sales, numbers that are suppposedly nonexistent if you try to call back to find out who's the aho calling you,  yadayada.  Prosecution for these domestic terrorists is overdue!

Maybe you should read the news once in awhile.. Make sure you read the very first one also. The DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said.    They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call records.

Received a call on my cell phone that was forwarded from my home phone. The call was answered and no one responded on the other end. I am on the do not call list, but there does not seem to be any enforcement of the law, at any rate, not to the point of deterring the volume of sales calls that I receive. The law should be revised to put more enforcement tools in place with severe penalties such as incarceration for the violators.The telephone was a great invention and should not be degraded to a means of unwanted sales pitches from callers that have no regard for your not wanting them to call. I receive up to five calls a day giving a sales pitch and often times a recorded pitch which is also a law violation.
