- Jenna| 1 replyI received a phone call from this number. This person claimed to be from Microsoft Service Center. This person kept telling that my computer downloaded a malcious file causing my computer to send to Microsoft my error reports. My computer is fine and very well maintained. I am not sure what kind of a phone call this was, but I DO know that Microsoft would never call me!! Its probably a scam

- TraceyI received a call from the following number,1-000-000-0012. I answered the phone, said hello twice and heard nothing but silence. I said hello again and still got no reply. I listened for a few seconds to see if I could hear any background noises. But didn't hear a sound. About 5 seconds later what sounded like an automated voice said "goodbye." I called the operator/directory assistance to see if they could tell me whose number it was.
But all she could tell me was, "it may be a payphone or an automated call line. But she did not know for sure. And had No Way to check it."
Really, really hate these calls, especially since I am on the "Do Not Call List."
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks - DavidJust got a call from this number about windows on my computer. I had received the same call earlier in the day at work so I was a little up on the scam. After telling the person that I do not own a computer he hug up on me!

- EhhckJust got a call from this number, answered it out of pure curiousity because I've never see a 000 number before. He said his name is Harry and said there was a virus on my computer. I ask him if it was for my Ipad and he said yes, then I said that was wierd becuase its working fine, then I said do you mean my laptop and he said "yes, your computer". I told him that my laptop is a work laptop running on a VPN and I would have been informed by my company if there was a virus on it and they would tell me to send it in for repairs. He kept trying to interupt me and I told him no thank you and hung up.

- JoannJust got a hang up call from 800-0000-0012. If the call is as everyone is saying, claiming to be from Microsoft with the virus information...I'm sorry they hung up. I so love to waste their time. First time I told him I knew it was a scam and to please take my name off their list. The person became vulgar and disgusting, so I asked if he kissed his mother with that filthy mouth. HE hung up! :) Second time I played the hello hello game....every time he started his spiel I waited until he was finished and repeated Hello? He began again and I waited for him to finish then said Hello again? He got annoyed and hung up. For future calls I plan on getting down right annoyed asking WHAT took them so long and what kind of business were they running for goodness sake... OR Ask how much they charge for doing my windows...and should I bring a ladder out for them to complete the job because MY windows ARE filthy!!! :) No point in getting annoyed with these knuckleheads...have fun with them! :)
- Player1I received a phone call from this number. This person claimed to be from Microsoft Service Center. This person kept telling that my computer downloaded a malicious file causing my computer to send to Microsoft my error reports. SO I played along and followed all of their instructions. First he proves you have errors on your computer then tell you that it's malicious software causing the problem. Then he asks you to enter a website (I assume that is where the bad stuff would start) so I kept telling him I got an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. He asks me to check my internet connection, so I ask him how to do this and follow his instructions telling him I always end up with "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. Finally he asks if I have internet service where I tell them NO cause they charge extra for that. Then I hear him cursing and he hangs up on me. Total elapsed time 15 minutes where he's not annoying someone else! Your welcome.

Interesting that they are posting such a bogus number. Maybe that's a hint they can only count to 12.- Call type: Telemarketer
- doffYeah me too.phone rang, no one there but distant chatting. Getting fed up with these calls, particularly the silent ones like this. Surely its illegal or unlawful to pester people this way. And why do they hide behind [***] numbers like 000 0012 ???? And names like Shaun when they are clearly Indian by their accent and can't spell Shaun ??? !!! Usually I tell them I don't have a computer or (the best one) don' t have a phone !!!!
- Caller: none (silent call)
- diane0012 number. No message I don't answer it. Thought it was my ex-husband trying to hide his #.
