I just talked to Verizon.. the number is definitely legit.  This number shows up if you send/recieve either an email or an instant message.

0000006245 shows up on unbilled text activity, but same call appears in the  sent phone log as a name from contacts. How does the text go the the internet with only a # and no email or web address logged anywhere?

I live abroad and I always send messages to my Sweetie from  my GMAIL... like 8889997777@verizon.com.
He get's them as messages from  0000006245. You may try and check the time.:)

Iphones and Ipod touches have a free app to send text messages. Sounds like whoever uses this either doesn't have a text plan with their phone company or doesn't want it to be seen on their phone bill. With the ipod touch all they need is a wireless signal from a router or hotspot to use it. textfree.us

My teen daughter had her Verizon cell phone, and her iPod touch stolen at same time, and we had 84 text to/from 6245.  Verizon would only tell me that "6245" is a premium texting number, and may end up be subscription service that I could incur additional charges later on when I replace the stolen phone.  I'm so confused, and your posting caught my attention...could you please share a bit more info with me?  The school officials are supposedly investigating (short staffed, funding cut backs) but I'd like to learn more.  Looks like I'll have a battle with Verizon to reduce extra added on charges.

i recieved a message about something that no one else knew about...

My fiances text history has had texts sent and received from 000-000-6245 a lot recently too and he claims he doesn't know anything about it either...but it does have me a little suspicious!

000-000-6245 keeps showing on the text portion of my cell bill.  It does not show on my husbands portion, only mine.  I asked my husband to look into it as the account is in his name.  He says that Verizon says they are IMs and that someone contacted them to find out how to send the IMs.  I have never called Verizon regarding this.  The one time I called Verizon they would not help me since the account is not in my name.  Supposedly I'm the one sending the IMs and whoever the IMs are going to, they never respond.  The best part, I wasn't using my phone at the times I supposedly sent these messages.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

Last month, I found many incoming text messages from 0000006245 on my partners cell phone bill.  I was suspicious and felt sick about it.  I did some research and found proof that these texts were coming from his bank (Bank of America), letting him know his account balances.  He had signed up for it.

I do his banking, and when I was on his bank acount online, I saw that the outgoing text alerts matched up exactly with his incoming texts to his cell phone.

I wanted to let you all know to spare you from what I went through.

I can assure you I am not into porn...this number shows up on my bill in response to google search.  when I text google for a number - this is the  number that shows up.  relax....its all good.
