My Verizon Bill said that I sent and received text messages from this number.  I have never seen a message on my phone from this numnber, nor have have I ever even sent a message to anyone.  I know how to message and it was not a mistake on my part.  There are no records of any of this on my phone.

I want to know who's # is 0080002100 that is showing a text message from that # to my #

It is a message from Verizon. They claim it is an automatic notification of something. They are trying to block their notifications to me and credit my account. We will see how it goes.

Verizon has a scam of charging $0.15 per week by sending me a text every Friday night at 10 pm. They claim to be trying to block themselves from texting me, but I'm skeptical.

I am getting weekly callls from this number, but there is never a message showing. Keep calling Verizon and reporting the problem.

This has been an ongoing problem for months for me. It is at same time every Friday night.  Verizon has put through several tech repair requests but it continues.  They do credit for it, but that doesn't solve the problem of calling them every month, which is time consuming.

Folks, all these numbers that start with "00" are nothing more than instant messaging (IMs).  If you use MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, or AOL on your cell phone, you will be charged per message, not by air time.  I noticed all those weird numbers on my bill, and Verizon Tech Support was able to link them to my IM.  If you don't recall ever instant-messaging anyone from your cell phone (or suspect of anyone in your family that could've done so), then it's a real concern.  If you do happen to use IM, you better get a package from Verizon, otherwise it will be very costly at the end.

Remember, this is linked to instant messaging, not text messaging.

I have had texts from this number show up on my bill, however i have never received a text from this number actually show up on my phone. I called verizon and they told me that these are sync messages from the backup assistant software. I disabled the sync function of the backup assistant and am still seeing text messages show up in my usage. I guess I have to spend another hour on the phone with verizon. This will be the fourth time I have called them on this issue. If anyone has information on how to stop these messages please post. If I was actually receiving these texts to my phone it would be easy to figure out where they are coming from.

The text messages to this number are coming from the "backup assistant" get it now application. I have removed this application from my phone and now do not have text messages appear on my account. The backup assistant has an auto sync feature and sends a text message to your phone when the sync process starts.
