missed a call at around 18:00.  Checked this database and decided to call back.  Turned out to be Nationwide building society.  Must have been a marketing call, I don't bank with, nor have a mortgage with Nationwide.

anyone got an address for this tel number 0800281801 nationwide debt .i want to write to tell them to stop calling me  im fed up with them they must be mistaking me for someone else,IDONT OWE THEM ANY MONEY...

It's an fraudulent company trying to get personal details of your bank account and scam you for money. As they have a women who follows up the electronic call it all sounds legit. It has been going on for 3 years and Nationwide have done nothing about it and when I contacted them I had mioxed responses which varied from concerened to couldn't care less. Not impressed. Asa the scam make you feel you need to settle a balance on a credit card and it is for a small amount @£100 it doesn't always raise suspicions. The authrities shpuld have this number blocked abd tell evetyone about it but it would apear Nationwide don't take such hoax set ups seriously!

I had a call from a female using this number.  She knew that I had taken a mortgage out with them some 18 months before and was asking me if they could send me a quote for house insurance.  What she obviously didnt know was that I my mortgage had been paid off.  I was very suspicious and refused to speak to her telling her that I felt that it was a scam.  She tried to insist that she gave me a quote for house insurance over the phone, but I wouldnt let her and I put the phone down.  I have just googled the number and found this site.  I havent contacted Nationwide as yet, but I would suggest that this is a scam BEWARE!!

I got a call from this number but couldn't answer as I was at work.  My husband rang me and said the same number had rung him - he told the caller he couldn't speak as he was at work and covered in plaster.  We both later received a text from Nationwide saying our mortgage had been cancelled!  I've spent hours on the phone to Nationwide setting the mortgage up then ringing them to make sure that the mortgage has been set up after they sent texts and emails saying it hadn't when it had, now I'll have to contact them again to see what's going on.  I thought Nationwide were a good builidng society but I'm quickly changing my mind.

This number appeared on our phone today but our phone has the blocking facility thankfully.  I do have accounts with Nationwide so will be checking this out next week.
