it didn't give me my bank details. i had to press # for yes ... i put the phone down

16H09 12 MAY 2011 MY CELL PHONE RINGS, I PICK UP,THEN THE VOICE OF A LADY GREETS ME BY MY NAME AND SAYS SHE IS CALLING FROM MY BANK OF WHICH SHE MENTIONED AND YES IT IS THE BANK THAT I USE AND SHE WANTS TO CONFIRM MY BANKING DETAILS"I CANT ASK HER FOR WHAT BECAUSE IS THE PROGRAMMED MACHINE THAT I AM TALKING TO".THEN YOU HAVE GOT THREE OPTIONS THAT YOU HAVE GOT TO CHOOSE YOUR DATE OF BIRTH,OPTION 1,2&3 OF WHICH ONE OF THOSE OPTIONS IS MY CORRECT DATE OF BIRTH,THEN I SMELT A RAT AND KEEP LISTENING WHILE SHE REPEATS AND FINALLY WHEN I DID NOT PRESS ANY BUTTON THEN SHE HANGS UP.

hi there, i also received several calls from this number,quote''good day we are calling from the nedbank this is a very importat call,for us to proceed we need you to confirm you date of birth and gave me 3 options.but my bank does nt communicate with me telephonically unless i call them so i hang up and googled the number it turns up its one of those.

Had the same call , hanged up on it. According to the voice its not a sales call.

I got it this morning also, thanks to you all who report it ....
My Vodacom reception was bad and I could not make out a thing she said I just hang up go to good reception area to call back no answer.. That’s when I try to search internet and got here.

I just got a call from this number.. but let it go to voicemail. The reception was bad but a guy just said: "jou ma se..." I thought that was so rude and that's why I searched the number. Does anybody know what's going on?

I recently opened an account with Edgars, i don't know if it is related to that.

I got a missed call from this number...I am in the process of looking for a job and have replied to a few...after reading this I presume they have acquired my number and info from my cv. What a shame that they are praying on people who are looking for jobs...but stupid really though...most people who are looking for jobs are not employed so these scammers arents going to get much out of their bank accounts are they???
