I didn't get a call but a text with an attachment I am sure the scammer wanted me to click on.

I’m getting group messages of 20 people. I try to block them with no luck. I haven’t opened it but it’s very annoying.

Text claiming it's Amex. I don't have an Amex card...

I get those too. They are so annoying!! If you notice, the numbers are sequential and half the time the original message comes from an email. Once mine got opened, and it turned out to be porn. Right now, I'm being bombarded with texts about CBD gummies. UGGGH!!

Forward unwanted texts to 7726 for your carrier to block.

Definitely not AmEx since they wouldn't text from what is clearly a spoofed phone number.
No phone number area code or prefix in North America begins with a 1 or a 0.

Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that carriers will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages, however 7726 is accepted in the US, Canada, and Great Briton. Also, never, ever click on a link in a text message as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with and never, ever respond to one because lets them know that they have a good number with someone on the other end.  It will result in more calls and texts.
