Received text from this number stating it was FedEx and delivery could not be made so package was returned to warehouse.  (I was actually expecting a Fedex package today!).  I did click on link in text but not the 2nd link to 'change delivery'.  Checked 800notes and found these entries.  Scam!

A legitimate company such as FedEx wouldn't text or call from what is clearly a spoofed phone number. No area code or prefix in North America begins with a 1 or a 0.

Sending phishing texts supposedly from PNC.

Received a text that Told me my co pay was rejected, provided a couple of meaningless reference numbers,  and directed me to a link (which I didn't follow)

Serious! I know my class A CDL with haz-mat endorsement is pricey at $192 every 4 years. I don't think I should get that much back.

If anyone falls for this crap, they deserve what happens to them . The biggest indicator is it's not an actual phone number. It's one digit short.

I signed up healthcare.com and now I get emails with attachment. It is a scam please do you will not get the walmart card or what ever they are trying to scam you with. It's a stupid company in MA that is doing wrong and should be stopped.

Not sure how you made the connection of signing up with healthcare to it being the cause of receiving spam emails, but if you take the time to read through this thread, you will notice that many different types of scam calls are being made from this number. More than likely it is just a coincidence and there is no numbers in the North American Numbering Plan that begins with "1" or a "0".

Forwarded to 7726 (SPAM).
Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shut down offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.

Knew it was a scam attempt as soon as I saw the "phone number" it came from; No phone number in the US or Canada can have an area code or an exchange number that starts with a 0 or a 1.  This number violates both of those rules.

Received a spam text trying to lure me in with hopes of a Costco gift card and provided a link.

Text said I could claim my  "free IPAD"  If I clicked on the link.   So tempting ?

Said it was from James Patterson and referenced an old address of mine. Didn't click the link for fear of malware. Spam.

I have received messages from 141 numbers before. They always include a link that either contains the words “fbook” or “18andover”.
