This number called me earlier today when I was not at home. No message left.

Received a call from this number 202-226-9928.

A voicemail was left by someone named "Felicia or Phylcia Reynolds".

I have always been active writing letters to Congressional offices so I was not surprised when Ms. Reynolds said "this is in response to your letter dated...." and then the phone line disconnected.

I dialed *69 which provided the number 202-226-9928 in addition to the time of the call.  The *69 automated operator stated this phone line belonged to a nonworking number at the House of Representatives. I then called the phone number and a man answered.

The strange thing about the male answering was the fact that he did not give his name when he answered...It was NOT like he said "Hi, it's Bob..." found out who you were and then started talking.

He said nothing more than "hello".

Ok I just got one from the same number and called it back and it said you have reached a non working number at the house of representatives I will find out whose calling. They are using all my minutes and they cost me money I don't have.

I answered my phone Hello a man's voice said I have the wrong number and hung up. I called the number back And a recording said that I had reached a Non working number at The house of Representatives.

I just received a call this afternoon from this number, which I did not answer since I didn't recognize it.  I randomly googled it, not thinking Google would turn up anything and to my surprise I recieved a number of hits! This is the first time I've gotten a call from this number and given what you all have been saying, hopefully it'll be the last...

I 've received calls from this number numerous time from some guy working near the Capitol. THe same thing when I called back it's a nonworking number.

I received a call from this number and it was really from the US House of Representatives and was a live person.  But when I call the number back it says that it is a non working number at the US House.  Strange!

My Girl Friend Called me from Her work and said that she has had 10 calls in a row from this number. I googled it to get info and I must say I was a little weirded out over the amount of responses from this look up in regaurds to this number.

Every phone call that originates from a non-public line in the House of Representatives has this number show up on caller id.  It's not a 'real' House number, it's just there to let you know that someone from the House called.

This call was from a representative of my congressman Chris Smith in response to an email I sent about a problem I needed help with. At least they get back to you.

This message was left by a male caller on my office voice mail on 6-12-2008 @ 11:31am Alaska Time. It was definitely a male caller who did not leave his name. The message said: "How come you're not available? All these weeks and I haven't called you and  then you're not there when I do call you. You outta give me a call. Okay-bye."

The caller did not leave a phone number to call him back at. The phone number was recorded by my office voice mail system along with the date & time.
The voice sounded strangely familiar, however when I called the phone number back, it said "You have reached a non-working phone # at the U.S. House of Representatives. G3B".

I missed a call from this number today and googled it to find my fellow call-ees. I'm in the job market and have sent my number to various offices. I would hate to think I missed an opportunity so it's comforting to see that others have "missed" this one too. Is there any way to find out what's going on and who this really came from. And thanks for being here, everybody. At least I don't feel like I missed my shot.

I received a phone call from this number today on my cell phone at 2:30ET.  Ironically enough, I am working in one of the three House of Reps buildings on the hill.  The phone number begins with 202-22, which are the first 5 digits of all the House numbers.  I was not expecting a call from the House, nor did I receive a message.  I will look into this matter in the next few days.

Received calls from 202-226-9928 on July 18th (twice) and July 22nd, no message left.  Called the number on July 23rd, it said it was an nonworking number at the U.S. House of Representatives.

I received 2 calls from the number 202-226-9928 of which neither calls I answered as I was on another call. The calls came on 12-29-08 at 11:26 am and 11:31 am. No message was left in either case. When I returned the call, a recorded voice stated that it was a nonworking number from the U.S. House of Representatives. I am on my Representative's list for inauguration tickets, so I had hoped the call was concerning that matter. I'm not able to verify this.

It is just the generic house of representives external number.  Any call from there comes through as this on caller ID.  Not a scam or anything FWIW.

This is not a telemarketer or bill collector.
It is a legitimate number. Just wanted to let you know.
