Rang 4 times answered listened for reply & they hung up

This call came in and I immediately blocked it. Had to answer to block it but I didn't say anything and there was no response on the other end.

Obviously, they think by having District of Columbia on caller id, it will lead to answered calls. Not a chance!! Not with a 555 exchange.

Expecting a doctor's call from an out-of area office.  Saw this CID and hesitated; the institution calls with 'spoofed' numbers sometimes to protect patients HIPPA rights.  But, in the end, I decided this number was TOO 'wild' with its 555 exchange - which is the FAKE exchange they use for TV shows & movies so people won't inundate a number that was 'broadcast' with spam/annoying calls.  If one dials an area code and "555" they will reach "INFORMATION."  I sincerely doubt Information was trying to reach any of us!

In the past these "555" calls were OVERSEAS, FOREIGN SCAMMER trying to gain control of one's computer by claiming it 'has a virus' and they will 'remotely fix it.'  TOTAL, DANGEROUS, COSTLY (if you fall for it) SCAM.

Same as other posts. Call then hang up. If you call back you get a busy signal. These guys just are a waste of time and precious phone minutes.

Said they were federal Grant.  I hung up

They called and said they randomly selected me for a $9000 federal grant, non taxable, non refundable, and available only once in your lifetime. I told her I'don't need information in writing and she said, "if you don't want it, I'm not gonna forcing you" in a very thick Indian accent. Then she hung up on me, lol.

They been calling me from that number but havent  answer  said scam call by my ID but keeps calling but have it on block list it alert  me every time it cans said on caller I'd Dir Assist DC be aware of thst

Called, claimed I had been chosen to receive free money, told them just to mail me a check, they didn't know what to say, said I had to speak w a manager, manager never answered after getting transferred. SCAM!

I just received this same call. . When I hung up he called back and was very vulgar. . He called a third time but I blocked the number

555 not gonna answer

Callback leads to a fake message "lines are temporarily busy..." and they want you to think it is generated by the phone company.  It clearly is not, because it repeats in a loop for several minutes.  This is a scammed caller ID, clear sign of scammers behind it.

"Calls to the number you are trying to reach are not allowed from your number please dial AT&T customer service for further assistance"

Received a call from 202.555.0110   When I answered, "Hello," no one responded. I heard noise in the background and hesitated. They finally said, "Hello?"  I responded, "I already said hello."  The Indian accent answered, "F*** Y*** I already said hello!" and hung up.  Nice.

That will do it...Angering them would make anyone laugh...Just stay street smart and that's all you have to do.

He called an ask for my husband and I told him he not here and if this is about insurance we don't want any and then I hung up he calls back and said its not about insurance that my husband owe him money and he want it back I laugh and told him if he calls back that I was going to call the cops so I hung up again an he calls back again for the 3rd time and told me that I was a [***] and I need to [***] ( sorry about that ) now I'm telling y'all OK what now

Hamilton TWP Police Department in NJ have even issued a warning about phone numbers like these. They are scammers claiming to be IRS officials.

This man called my business line.  When I answered in the company greeting I could tell he was caught off guard.  No reply.  Again gave the greeting asking if he would like to schedule an appointment. His accent was heavy but I was able to understand he was wanting to book  a reservation.  I asked him to repeat himself, then he said he's is looking for a restaurant. Told him we are a professional cleaning company. Then he asked what that means, so I explained what we do. He stammered, went quiet, hung up.  Scammer must have been new.  Caller ID read: Dir Assist DC.  On the other side of the country for me.

I get several calls each day within a 24 hour work day. I identify the company I work for, twice, then there is silence, then a "good bye" from a computer.
