Repeatedly calls business;  no one there;  "toxic"

Now switched to Unavailable;  still "toxic"

Caller ID read: Dir Assist DC, when I answered the phone no one responded and they hung up.  They called a company.

The words DIR ASSIST DC showed on our caller ID -  called our business number twice consecutively, both times I answered a recorded female voice said, "Thank you and goodbye."  That's all, and then the line went dead.

Calls my business everyday, usually with silence. Today a female voice said "Thank you and Goodbye".

Calls, hangs up... happens nearly 5-10x a day

called about grant. we hung up they called back said he was gonna [***] whole family. ect.....SCAM

Caller of India accent informed me that I had been awarded a grant that I applied for.  Had I had time. I would have strung him along for more detail to post. I just hung up.

Got call telling me that the grant I applied for 7-8 months ago from the state of PA was approved. Said a rep would come to house to verify 2 forms of ID. (birth cert & SS card) but, I had to pay a fee of $3.99 today for processing /handling etc.  Knowing now most likely a scam (I love messing with these ppl.) figure the longer I keep them on the phone, the less time they have calling other ppl.
Told the guy to just take it out of the grant check. He then said "well what if it doesn't get approved" I told him, that then I wouldn't be out any $ if this scam doesn't work. He said what if it was a scam. I laughed and hung up the phone
